Hi Char. This is a problem that has been around for a long time. I dont know a easy solution. We must help anyone in need any way we can. But I dont think God intended for us to contribute to drug or alcohol habits.

Hi Char, One has to be very careful handing out money to people on the streets. Like you say, they usually run to th beer joint. One way is just to buy them something to eat and then looking further into their needs instead of handing out money.The best way to handle it is with prayer,I believe.
Yes we are to help the poor and needy, but it takes some serious consideration sometimes to know what and who to help. We usually stick with Christian Organizations.

hello Charlotte, well you see I am suppose to give away God money in Jesus name, and a good steward is not to harsh be gentel a little at the time be wise playful, they know. what count is that God see the way that we think about the gesture that we do, for the ones in need ,I remember Christ died for me that was my need .and the same Christ shed His Blood for the alcoholics the drug addict the homeless God put me here in this place in this town they are my neighbors.Who am I to choose who to give to when God chooses for me.When we give we give to God and God is the Judge not me, spread give a little at the time in thoses circumtance dont talk about it dont look at it just do it..wellCharlotte I am glad you are doing fine now I am going to pray God in Jesus name and thank him for answerded prayer for i prayed so you would get better .Love in Jesus byebye stay Happy
