I have also seen somewhat convincing arguements made that the "Final Solution" of the Nazis was not a Holocaust, as most believe. Needless to say, despite the seeming strength of their arguements, I am not convinced that this great evil was not planned and/or never happened. They are the pawns, knowingly or unknowingly, of evil.
The problem is, those with an agenda to do evil have absolutely not got any reservations about using questionable sources for the "evidence" to back up their claims. I think that you will find that this "convincing" arguement would not stand up to the scrutiny of a legitimate engineer with an objective point of view. I could find an "expert" in just about any field of thought to back up just about any outrageous claim if given enough time and enough money to get them to say what I wanted. I have little faith in Congress, but even less in CNN.
As for 9-11, the explosion of the aircraft indeed was not enough to bring down the towers. However, the heat from the burning fuel was enough to melt the rebar in the concrete supporting the floors above where they impacted. The jets could have attacked lower, but if they had, they would have hit floors where the supporting columns were protected by asbestoes. Because of health concerns, they changed the fireproofing that was used on floors that were built later. Sadly, although the engineering studies that were done were probably correct in predicting that the level of protection that was afforded by the new, safer material was more than adequate to deal with a regular fire, they had not predicted the raging inferno that was caused by the rapid burning of litterally tons of very volitile and very hot jet fuel.
I hope that you don't by into the conspiracy theories that purport to have proof that our govenment was to blame other than the incompetance that was exhibited in dealing with these people earlier. (Clinton had Bin Laden in his sights, so to speak, and let that man go for political reasons. He didn't have the foresight to predict 9-11, so I don't blame him directly for that, but nonetheless, his seemingly small choice at the time may have cost a lot of people their lives years later.) I am convinced that we can do more, but people how spout these theories actually make it more likely that we will fail agin in the future by hamstringing all reasonable efforts to stop these evil madmen.
Sorry for the Rant, but these people are evil. There is not a bit of doubt in my mind!

and was intrigued. My life of late has put me in a position of asking the same thing. Questioning is stressful, I'm just learning to pray, read the Book, and leave the rest to God. Thanks for sharing. Your sister, Karen
