The answers, my friend, may be too numerous to put into words. Some may say, He came to be the perfect sacrifice for our sin. He came to bring us into right relationship with God. He came to heal or experience all that I must experience.
I guess then that if I were allowed only one answer, it would have to be because He loved me. This answer encompasses all the others that I may come up with.

P.S. I really like seeing you a bit more often lately.

Thank you Teri, those are all excelent answers and pretty much the same way I answered this question, but not the answer I was looking for here. Thanks for playing I think you might be a little shocked when i state the answer I'm looking for.

Jesus said it was ... "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10
    But that's not very shocking.

Hi Ross, the answers may not be what you are looking for: Galatians 4:4-5 - But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made(born) under the law. v5. To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.....Luke 2:2-38 - To be Savior of the whole world.....John 3:16-18 ........Luke 19:10-- For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.....John 10:10--I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.......Matthew 20:28 -- Even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and give his life a ransom for many....The Son of God came here to die as our substitute by the will of God...It was the Fathers good pleasure to send His Son for us whom He was please......Hebrews 10:1-10 --By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all....To put away sin, because there was no other way....1Timothy 1:15 -- This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners: of whom I am chief...He came to shine the light of salvation....He also wanted someone to fellowship with, a family.........Since Jesus came, we are no longer under the law but under Grace........

May God bless you as you work in His vineyard with Love, Joy and Peace in HIM...

    With God's Love,
    Lois J.

Thanks all for these answers, it is kind of funny to me that we find all these answers to this question and all are correct, no exceptions, but the one I am looking for here, seems to be passed over by everyone that answers this and I have to wonder why. Jon you are close and it is from Jesus himself the answer I am looking for

I am the door of the sheep. I am the good
Shepherd: the good Shepherd giveth His life for His sheep. ....Then said I, Lo, I come: in
the volume of the book it is written of me.

    Ross, just trying again......

lois, Marsha, both excellent answers, and all completely correct, yet mot what I'm looking for yet. I guess maybe the premise is a little wide open and there are soo many correct answers, but people will all day long skirt around the one answer I search for . I know this because the first time I went through this program I was with about 100 other people and not one came up with this answer
    Thanks for trying God bless

    Ross, Just trying again...

John 14:6 --Jesus saith unto him, I am the way the truth, an the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 11:25 --Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: v26--And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die, Believest thou this?

Ross, are we getting any closer?
