Our church recently had the pastor retire and we hired a new much younerg one. As a result many people are sitting back and criticizing what the new guy is doing. Its natural to want to compare the new one to the older one but its not church. Church isn't a TV station, for us to review. Its a family, led by God, where everyone is called to support and respond with action. Of course, the pastor isn't above criticism, but our main response to something new nedds to be "Where is God leading us now?" instead of "Do we agree with this."

AMEN JON! I've always said that the only thing wrong with the church is the PEOPLE! We as humans need to take a step back and not criticize one another and realize that the pastor is our spiritual LEADER and he is accountable to GOD.... We should never ever abandon our church family and that's what we're doing when we gossip and criticize! It's like telling God "I don't think You know what You're doing!" Whoa, hold on there grasshopper! A new younger pastor will no doubt bring a new, refreshing atmosphere to the group! Kick back and learn something! God Bless you Jon!
