Hi Eve,
A great post. I know what you mean, everything starts off real good when going shopping, but then, what happens, something goes wrong to take up our time. Yes, so specail to be with our family at Christmas time and open the little gifts, one has bought or prepared by hand....Will need to try your tips on shopping and eating, sounds great.... So glad to hear all went well, even tho your card was lost, you got your tires put on....still got home with the Christmas Spirit......As we know Jesus is the Reason for the Season....

You know, some may see all of your good advice here and miss something important: In truth, it was things that could have stolen your joy, but you did not let them. The things of christmas can become real idols, and then it is not Christmas, but only christmas, a great deal different.
