I loved your analogy of a son taking over your global business.
I really understood what you were trying to convey.
I could almost experience what Our Heavenly Father would have felt when He sent His only Son to this world.
Thanks for the great word picture. It was a pleasure to read and imagine.
God bless you and I hope you can enjoy Christmas Day with friends or loved ones!

I also enjoyed the poem / song that you have included also!

Thank you for this your Christmas letter.
Jesus set an example - that is for sure. Still I pray for the life of The Son.

    I PRAY

I pray for youth and children’s safety,
    mother’s joy, and father’s ease,
but most I pray for God all mighty:
Life be living, pray be praise!

Jesus is the Word. Nothing is as vulnerable and as exploitet and even so as strong as the Word. That is my reflection.

Merry Christmas to adults on ChristiansUnite!

Hi Michael, I came across your blog today while doing some research on the web. Thank you for reminding us that the frivolity of the season takes away from the truth of God's Word. On Christmas eve I spent some time viewing several youtube videos with pastors preaching on sin and repentance. Scripture is right, judgement must come and take place in the church before there can be any change in the non -believers around us. God has been doing a mighty, purifying work in my life over the past year as well. God has granted me godly sorrow over my love for the world above His Word leading to a life of repentance and a completely new outlook on life. I am now focussed on studying His Word and spreading the good news. God is calling a people out for Himself who He knows will be faithful, just as He has done throughout history. I feel so priveleged to be chosen by Him and pray that many will awaken out of their spiritual slumber and have oil in their lamps when Christ calls us home.

I spent the early part of Christmas day weeping because of the "light-hearted" Christmas program that was put on by our church this year. There were unsaved people there who missed out on hearing the gospel message and the need for repentance so that the church would not be offensive to them. How sad, as we have just "loved" them AWAY from Christ! I too am a Mennonite. There are some very wicked things happening in the MB Conference. My husband and I will be withdrawing our membership in the new year because of a serious departure from Scripture on a number of issues. We are seeing this happen across all denomiational lines, by the way. I believe it may be a sign that apostasy Scripture speaks about.

I have read all the available posts on your blog. I am encouraged to see your faithfulness to God and His Word and His provision in your life for the ministry you have in the Bible Study you are leading.

    May God richly bless you,
Bonnie (fellow-blogger from "FOR THE AUTHOR" at www.fortheauthor.blogspot.com)
