Ross, I agree it is a shame that creation cannot be taught in our schools. When a young woman I know was in school, the teacher insisted in the evolution theory. He gave a test asking the question where did man come from. She answered that God created man. Of course, she got a biggggg fat 0. The teacher told her I bet you will get a whipping when you show this to your father, she told him no, I would have if I said we evolved from something. My, Daddy is a Baptist Minster. So, THERE! She still got a zero but her parents congratulated her for sticking to what she believed. God bless

The answer is simple: Vote for school voucher systems that allow parents to choose the schools without regard to what the society at large decides they want. It is a real answer.

I am fortunate enough to be able to send my kids to a christian school! How does one change a world that doesn't want God?

Mel to be honest my complaint is not that my child is learning this garbage, because she goes to a private school where they do unnatural things like pray and praise the Lord, but that our society is willing to teach as fact an idea which has no merit whatsoever. In my opinion if society doesn't want Jesus so be it one of these days they will take a knee and offer their praise no matter what they think now
Praise Jesus

Amen, Ross, to the post and your last comment. It frustrates me, too, that the public schools persist in perpetuating a myth that good science has poked holes into time and again. However, Jesus warned us that in these last days that people wouldn't listen to sound doctrine but would instead want to have their ears tickled, so I can't say I'm surprised at the current debate.
So, what's the solution? We can continue to pray for the decision makers and also make our viewpoint heard in the polls, as Mel says, and in other forums like this one. At the same time, we need to pray for individuals to come to the Lord, because until they do, they're going to be hostile to the truth.
