Hi Eve,
I think you are right - commitment and a whole lot of work and love of course, keep a marriage intact. I have been with my hubby for 32 years! It's an ongoing commitment for sure.
Isn't it wonderful that God forgives and never keeps track of our sins. Every day He greets us with new compassions that never fail. (see Lamentations 3:22-23)
"For His anger lasts only a moment but His favour lasts a lifetime, weeping may remain for a night but rejoicing comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5)
