LOL! I have not even read what you read, and already my head hurts!

    Ecclesiastes 12:12b (NIV)

I aim that at the writer of the criticism. He is probably like me, rambling on on esoteric points while the main point becomes more obscure...

    In Christ,

Oh, and how am I doing? I hope I can say this:

    Philippians 4:12 (NIV)

But I'll settle for saying I am doing alright...

I think that it is only when we appreciate God outside time & space, as we understand it, that we can begin to appreciate who & what God really is. When we can comprehend this, then we can begin to understand, "In the beginning God created the heavens & the earth". Gen. 1:1.
In Jn 1:1f the evangelist writes, "In the beginning was the word, & the word was with God, & the word was God. He was with God in the beginning".
We can appreciate that better if we can see where God was ,'in the beginning'!!!
Systematic Theology is not light reading, when you undertake such a responsibility & discipline then you really need the time of Methuselah, the patience of Job & the understanding of the Gospel writers. They each had three & a bit years with Jesus & still did not understand.
May God bless your efforts, as you try to understand him.
    Love in His Name Stuart

For someone who has absolutely no desire for theology, my answer is simple - could one day not be like 1 second to God, or one minute like 1000 years?

Hope you understand what I am trying to say........

Glad to see you're blogging. Hope we will get more though.

    God Bless

okay so let me explain myself just a little further. I believe that God would be timeless prior to creation thus prior to time and yes God is eternal, But we are also told that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, so if God ever was timeless which I would have to say the way I see it is not in question would He still not have to be timeless still.I don't understand why one would draw a line between God being eternal and God being timeless. It seems to me the more I look at this the further I dig the hole I've gotten myself into

Mel I enjoyed the answers also, Stuart I find that after looking at your response I am even more in awe of God because He is so much more than we can comprehend in time or space, to know that He created it all with His word. God said and it was how then can we even imagine confining Him within the constraints of the creation? Man the deeper I get He gets that much more awesome and Lee I will try to post more often. Glad to see they finally got the order of favorites a little closer to right

I just remembered my "why is the sea salty" question - some things will remain unanswered until we ourselves see Him face to face to ask Him, and by that time I don't think it would matter anymore any way. And if it does, at least we will have something to talk about for the rest of eternity ........... lol

Stop making my head hurt okay?
