It would really take the wisdom of Solomon to answer your question correctly. I think that part of the answer might be that differing parties in the Church are from different backgrounds, both ethnic & geographical. Translations of the scriptures abound & none seem to agree word for word, the nuance on a Hebrew word can make it appear to have a different meeting in differing circumstances.
For example when we spare the rod & spoil the child, 'rod' may actually mean a twig or even the rule of law. So immediately we have two schools of thought. I would have thought that any Denomination which has Christ at its head, where believers confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord & God raised him from the grave, that would be all right. Where they differ by major scriptural theories, then they are SECTS & are not part of Christ's Church. Who is to judge?
There can be unity in diversity, different traditions may do the same thing with a slight difference, who is to say who is right?
Not I,
Hope this may help

Thank you for your comment.
My point is that if we all seek the truth and wisdom that is in the Devine Scriptures and the recorded words from Jesus' own lips then unity would be present. We are all sinners and there is only one judge. We should be focused on God and saving as many souls as we can.
Again thank you for your comment and my God always smile upon you.
