I agree with you down the board on this one, sir. I still wish you would put links in your post to more detailed and definite accusations against specific individuals. If they said it, they should not mind their names being linked to what they said. As the media is so fond of saying (yup, I just made a generalization, and I make that as a somewhat snide and jaded remark -- it bears no real relevance, even if you agree with me), that is "absent malice" and the truth is its own defense. I suspect it is not fear of being sued for libel that motivates you here, but still, I seek a bit more meat and a clearer target for those who would latch onto what you are saying.

To say that there is NO GOD or to say that there is a GOD is no different in terms of the truth about church and state questions. Both are axiomatic statements that defy enough proof to make a scientific statement based upon the rational explanation of the empirical evidence. Anyone that says that science denys the existance of GOD is making a statement of faith and trying to pin science in their corner to "prove" it, which it cannot, nor will it ever be able to. The last part of that, of course, is a statement of faith on my part, (I truly believe that science will never run out of things to wonder about until the end of everything, and the existance of GOD is one mystery that is too deep to delve the depths of with science) but one based upon my searching into the very nature of science and the accumulation of knowledge. To them, science just is, and yet in my view, it is the false GOD they worship. (Science is not evil -- merely the worship of it) Axiomatic statements are a cornerstone of faith. You cannot prove it, and yet you rely upon it to measure everything against, and hang your whole philosophy upon.

Oppose those who would oppose the truth. Those that proselize tollerance of everything are hypocrits, for their very philosophy is intollerant of anyone who would take a stand on anything that would oppose their very narrow (yes narrow, not broad) view of how the world should be. They say that they work for peace, but the truth is, they only desire to avoid conflict, and the two are not the same.

Go In Truth and Fight for True Peace,

    Mel
