Your painting are very unique. I also paint some, haven't in a long time.

Hin Lois...thank you for visiting my art gallery! I love oil paintings but I think they are very smelly and overpowering to use. I find Arcrilycs are quite good.

Boy Colin, between you and Carol Flett, I am not sure which one of you I admire most. You are both so artsy. What a wonderful blessing from God to have such talent.
I like your warm,cozy fireplace. I want to put a pillow down close to it and lean on it and read a book. So homey!

Wow! I am impressed. In case anybody doesn't know it, watercolor is a very difficult media. It is so very unforgiving. Once it's on it is very dificult to take off, just like words spoken or comments saved.
The reason I like oils is that I can paint it on and erase it with thinner until I have exactly what I want.

Hi Carol, thank you for such a lovely comment...yes watercolour is a very difficult medium to work with....I have given it up almost! I love doing the sky with it which must be done in about 2mins flat! I do like oil paintings but I have found Arcrylics quite good. They are very versatile and I have found a way of keeping them wet on the palette.
