So what is your point? Bring them to Jesus... what is your suggestion on the best way to do that...

    LOL!

    Ideology meet Pragmatism!

Seriously, though, I get Lee's point, even if it lacks the solid, I can grasp that type of advice I myself seek. But someone needs to come up with a hook or gimic or something like that it seems, and that is not right either. Nothing wrong with being practical, but there is a wisdom in this world...

Pray about it. Move as you are moved. Let go and let God do it. Maybe through you in a way you see. Maybe not.

    Be blessed,

    Mel

Thanks Lee for the post, Bob says How? Mel says Maybe, Christ says go into the world making Discilples of all men!!!!!
I agree, introduce people to Christ the annointed one, the Messiah. Too many people dwell on the infant in a stable! When Jesus came down the Mount of tranfiguration he came upon a situation that he says requires prayer. That I have found is the secret, pray before action.
People will come to Christ, all folks have a need. They might not know it, but Jesus fills that empty void.
    Awesome

I look at my children and I can say - it is so easy to teach a child about God and Jesus - they just believe. Jesus even said that we need to be like children. So, an orphange is the perfect place to start. Time - is what you need to teach them about Jesus, and if they grow up and leave, Jesus will leave the rest of His sheep and search all night to find and bring them home.

    God Bless

I Agree with you all. Isn't the Body of Christ amazing.
Bob I don't mean to sound to simplistic and there is more to come on this, but the prayer in Eph. quoted in the post is the answer.
Too often our churches, bible studies and such get so much into Doctrine and theology that thy don't take us to the healing person of the Lord, our God. I caution against that.

I understand the principle that you are promoting. My concern is centered around the criticism of the efforts that are being made by churches to do what you are saying that we all need. You own statement, "Too often our churches, bible studies and such get so much into Doctrine and theology that thy don't take us to the healing person of the Lord, our God. I caution against that."

Ok... lets quit whipping the child and lets come up with a practical solution that will accomplish what you say ought to be accomplished!!!

That was my point and still is.

We cannot know who God is unless we come to understand who He sasy He is... which is the purpose of doctrine or teaching.

My whole point is the church certainly does have flaws and makes a lot of mistakes in a number of ways... but the best way to come to Christ and to learn of HIs ways and His will for our lives is still the church, as imperfect as it may still be.

I have found that the Holy Spirit has this remarkable way of taking something that is so imperfect as the church and its ministries to share a message that the Holy SPirit can then write on our hearts and make a difference in our lives.

I myself have not been able to find that on the fishbank or even alone in my closet... exclusively that is.

Bob, I totaly agree with all you say. I am a pastor and am absolutely pro church. it's just that all to aften our programs get off track and I will call us back, anytime. Always have. But don't think I am trying to critisize the church. Jesus loves the church and so do I. It's the people and sometimes the programs. Sometimes theology gets in the way. I'm sorry but that is what I see. So I say so.
