Well stated, Mel. As one who is involved in the teaching ministries at my home church, I can agree wholeheartedly with your assessment.
It is a matter of attitude more than title; we need to keep our eyes on God and not put our teachers on some sort of pedestal. Both teacher and students need to have teachable spirits, so that if the teacher misinforms, he/she will be willing to go to the students and say, "I know I told y'all such-and-such, but I've just found out I was wrong. Here's the real story."

Thank You. The difficulty with this subject was not that there are only few references that could be pulled in, rather it is quite the opposite. I am generally long winded as a general rule, so the challenge was to boil it down and make it short. A big challenge for me was to get it somewhat short. I am sure that others can add to this, embelish portions, and even challenge some of my thoughts here, which is as it should be. Nonetheless, I am thankful that you afirmed that it was at least comprehensible. Sometimes I lose people and can't tell how I did it...
