Advice I've heard given to those who want to write is,"What do you have to say?" If you have nothing to say, how can you write? Another suggestion might be to just write about what interests you.

Welcome Lyn, faith & trust are facets of a Christian life which you will build on, I found that the big issues which are so important are quite easy to trust in God for! Its those little everyday things which can catch us out. It really is a question of maturity as you get to know God better, as you grow in Him, we all learn to trust him more.
Be Blessed, our God is Awesome.
Ask the saviour to help you

In answer to your first sentence, yes. Wrote about everything. You are simply talking to your (Christian) family. Oh, and read lots of other blogs.
You are alrady off to a great start.
