    Moses is the hero in question. Moses is the man who left behind a legacy that has lasted thousands of years. Even non-believers know who Moses is and what he did. Yet, he never entered into the promised land. Perhaps he was just a stone's throw away. He could see it, he could probably feel the sweet breezes of a land that flowed with milk and honey. But his job was done, his journey ended.
    Was it all for nought? Did he begrudge the life that he endured? After all, his offenses were small when compared to the offenses of the people.
    I think not. I think there was a still joy in the heart of the man. I think there was rejoicing in his spirit that at last, these people were going home and the promise was fulfilled.
    Whether his leadership or another, God's chosen people were going home.
