May the Lord bless you and keep you;
May the Lord make his face to shine upon you;
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Amen Ray, thanks for sharing from so deep. My son (and us) recently lost his 19 year old fiance in a car accident. It is a very hard time, but it gets better. God bless. I hope we here at C.U. can help

You have found a place where people care and will care for you. I cannot relate to the loss of a spouse but in 1990, I lost my mother and it there are any similarities, I understand your pain. To this day, I still grieve and will grieve until I see her again. BUT, Praise God for the hope and the knowledge that we WILL see those pieces of our heart again!
In His Service,

Thanks for sharing your heart with us. A very dear pastor friend that I met in college told me of the love that he had for his bride of several years. I remember him telling me that the thing that he was most thankful to God for was allowing him to out live her.... for through the pain that he endured, he was thankful that she did not have to experience it.
Perhaps the toughest thing that we have to endure in life is the passing of that life that has given us so much life. Imagine for just a moment how not having that life would have impacted your life! It has been said that to have loved and lost that love is so much better to have never loved at all.
The strength that God has given to you will carry you through the dark days that are sure to come... but to be able to reach back and know that you were loved and that you had someone to love has created memories that although painful for the moment... will carry you through in the days to come... and to be able to know with absolute assurance and complete confidence that she is with the Lord and that day is soon and very soon that you will be there to be with her is indeed the greatest comfort in all of eternity!
May God touch your heart in a special way today and hear Him as He says, "My grace is sufficient in all things!'

How does one begin to understand. None of us can because even those that have lost a spouse all react differently. But rest assured that God too grieves in this time. He feels your hurt, anger, frustration, sadness, emptiness, loneliness, longing. He sees you desperately seeking and I am sure has shed a tear for you.
Ecclesiastes 3
A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Everyone of us are in one or more of these times right now, which tells me that you are on track and in His plan. You will be made strong in this time of weakness and through this you will become a witness to others.
My prayers go to you and your family at this difficult time.
God bless and comfort your soul

I meant to add to you that I do realize what you are experiencing as I lost my lover, my friend, my helpmate and my dear husband after 40 years of marriage and not a day goes by without my thinking of our time together.
God bless you and please feel free to visit my blog or even use my email address if you wish.
God bless you.

Thinking about you today, Ray.
God bless you as you mourn. As Lee posted above from Ecclesiastes 3, there's a time to mourn and this is it for you. We mourn with you, Ray. I was conscious of my friends mourning with me when I lost my darling.
Hope you visit today's blog at my site. I have put "O Christ He Is the Fountain" and a choir singing.
Go and listen.
God's richest blessings to you...
Pat
