Its sad that the church is no longer the church. Pastors just tickle people ears anymore, "seeker friendly" they say. Its time that the true beleivers step up and preach his word boldly.

Just catching up on some of my favorite blogs. Thanks for this timely message on the Scripture's teaching on womens dress. As representatives of Christ we are to be holy and that is to be reflected in every area of our lives. As women, we need to ask ourselves if we are dressing according to the world's principals or the Bible's. We are not to be conformed to the world and its values. This young woman may have been praising God with her lips but her immodesty reveals that her heart is far from Him, and her testimony becomes invalid to those she may try to win. ("A double minded man-and woman-is unstable in all his ways". If women would spend as much time in the Word as they do on their appearance, they may have come across that verse and understand what it means. It is time for women to raise the standard of modesty, not lower it, as the world continues to glory in its flesh and fall ever farther from the truth. Thank you for having the courage to write about this and to contact that pastor. May the Holy Spirit use your words to convict him.

God bless you Michael. A sister in Christ, Bonnie
