What a beautiful tribute to a wonderful Dad.
I can feel the emotion and see the horses and woodwork you talk of.
I am sure he is very proud of you.
Take care of yourself and your lovely family.
    God bless. Peace ML

    Beautiful poem Colin.
Here are some words of comfort from God's Word.
"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;"

Thank you for all your prayers and words of comfort and encouragement. I read my poem out at my Dads funeral service. I thank God He give me the grace and strength to do it. My friend Martin also read it out twice on his radio programne...it has been a very emotional day. God bless

Dear Colin, please accept my deepest sympathies. I am so sorry to hear that someone so close and dear to You has passed away.

When my grandfather died, I was a very young Christian. I was so proud to read this portion of Scripture at his funeral... it meant so much to me:

"Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going."

I wish You and Your whole family deep comfort and peace,

I am sorry, Colin, I forgot to put my name under the comment... and the verse is from John 14:1-5

    Comfort & peace to You,

I was really touched by your poem. Oct. 9 2007 will be the one year anniversary of my own father's death. It is hard but God sustains us day by day. I as well look forward to my family reunion in heaven.
