Beautiful poem. It sounds familiar to all of you because it is scriptual and we do have songs about Him being God of the mountain and God of the valley. It's what makes poems good! Those based on scripture are annointed as God word is alive!

Hi Lee...thank you for the comment. You have recoginised what I try to do..keep all my poems scriptural and based on Gods word. I have been a bit in the valley since my Dads death. I love the song I know...GOD OF THE MOUNTAIN. Thank you Lee once again...your comment has really touched me. Thank you.

Colin, what a beautiful poem... and it reminded me also of the song GOD OF THE MOUNTAIN. How thankful I am that HE is with us in the valleys as well! My heart goes out to you, Colin. I miss my Dad too. He died in 1976 at age 60; he was such a witty, humorous man who loved to laugh! I loved him deeply and still miss him dearly! But what wonderful memories God gives us (even when our minds "leave" us, we still have memories!) By the way, I just love that picture on the top of your page, Safe in the Shepherd's Arms! To me it is a soothing picture of security and safety... God bless you, Colin. Sharon
