    Hi Mel,
Life can hold some difficult moments for all of us. Military experiences can make one stronger and more knowledgeable. Art- my husband has told me many things about his time in service.
God is good all the time. I'm glad I know Him.
All hail to the Prince of Life,
All hail to the Lord divine!
    Blessings to you and yours,
    Brenda

Boy Mel, I never really thought about it before but you are so right.
When we do the right thing it can hurt!
I will have to ponder this some more.
    Thanks for sharing.
    God bless you. ML

Mel, as I read through your post, I was thinking of how I have never liked pain or abuses of any kind -- physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. Then I got to your last sentence about wanting to do the right thing even though it may cause pain. I thought of what Jesus did for us -- and what pain He suffered for EVERYONE as He took the sins of the world upon Himself! I am thankful that none of us will never know that kind of pain. Thank you for reminding me.

I meant to add to Mary Lou's comment: "when we do the right thing it can hurt!" That is so true -- and WE are not the only ones who may be hurt, even when WE do the right thing. Do you know what I mean?

Yup, Yup, all the way down, yup!

Thanks for the comments. Sharon points out something I had not factored in, that doing the right thing can bring pain to others. Case in point, but certainly not exclusive: Disciplining a child can bring pain to the child. For that reason, should we abstain from training them correctly? Certainly not! (Although there are people who would give that very reason to refuse to discipline their children. They fail to understand that there will be much greater pain later for that failure. Yes, failure -- read that as SIN if it gets the point across.)

I still think there is more here. If I think of something, I'll try to drop a line...

    In Truth,

    Mel
