Apropos (directly related to this post of yours today); do you remember your joke and my poem about "nearest are you when away"? I just recently discovered that the paradox was stated by Fyodor M. Dostoyevsky in "The brothers Karamazov" (completed in 1880). He let Ivan speak about it when Ivan discloses himself to his brother Aljosja in the end of Part 1 of the novel (in the Fifth Book).
If we agree with the statement we should envy the disciples their faith. They really saw the man Jesus, and lived with Him. Even so they believed in Him. Agree?
God is "away". God is not to get acquainted to (pardon my poor English). Maybe that is a trick of His. Maybe the thing is that we cannot project something into, or attribute something to, something we cannot by any means control.
I love God.
