I think the cry for unity comes because we see a broken body. Of course, love for God and a right relationship to Him come first. And as I believe, how can one love his brother if he has no real love for the Father. Kinda goes hand in hand, don't you think? The great thing is, that once you understand a real love for God, it is much easier to love one another.

I am afraid the cry for unity is basically saying... accept my way of thinking... but do not expect me to accept your way of thinking. This whole attempt to be tolerant of everyone seems to openly exclude Christianity! Amazing that the very people who cry for tolerance and acceptance and unity are not interested in including Christ and His teaching! They want us to lsten to them but they want us to keep quiet because they cannot and willnot listen to us!
Guess what direction I am going to go????

The message of the Gospel is to bring men/women back, into keeping of the 10 commandments(Eccl. 12:13,14).
From Genesis to Revelation is this shown, but few understand this Biblical fact !
The death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ was to wipe the slate clean, of our past sins, so we can start over again fresh....keeping the commandments, as they appear in Exodus 20:3-17.
