Dear brother Odus,
Thanks for the reminder of Mother's day! My dear mother is gone, but I have a lot of fond memories, and still quote her a lot.
Please pray for me. I have a mission that is far from being completed in this life.

My Mother is also gone. she did a lot wrong including being an alcoholic. But still I have memories, that are good. She loved me and I never doubted that. Unperfect but still my Mother. She was sixteen when I was born but abortioon never entered her mind. It was hard but she loved me.

What a wonderful thing a mother is, and as a mother, how blessed am I to have those children to love and to be loved by them!

My greatgrandmother was a widow during the 30's, with 5 children and before we had any type of assistance here. She worked cleaning rich people's houses for a small amount of money each week. There were many times where one meal was a blessing for them.
Sadly, she met a man years later, who got her pregnant and then told her that he was married (unheard of in the 40s). While her daughter was giving birth to her first grandson in a few rooms down, my greatgrandmother was dying of a botched abortion by a drunken, back alley doctor at the same time. God used that tragedy though, for me. I was not supposed to be born, and discarded as tissue. My grandmother, a devout Christian and also, remembering how her own mother died, took me in as her own so I would live, because my mother just couldn't do it at 19 and single.
God is Good and Gracious!
