It is hard when we show people love and they return hatred or rejection.
It might help to remember that God receives this type of treatment all the time as He continues to send His rain on the just and on the unjust.
I think it is a wise thing to choose good friends though. Trusting just anyone with your heart is indeed a good way to get "bit".
