I find some of your comments very interesting and I myself often find how gullable peolpe are to beleive whatever is put infront of them. I for one am not afraid to walk out of any meeting or serice where I do not feel like the message comes from God. Why sit and allow your head to be filled with junk? God has blessed us with brains - why don't we use them. If more christians did, fewer self proclaimed prophets would be floating by on christians generosity.

But, I suppose all this must come to pass....

Thanks for your courage and strength. My sister-in-law sang in a gospel group for many years before having to leave it due to work. One of the experiences she told me of was correcting, out loud in the middle of service, a preacher who was mis-quoting, the bible scripture. Not entirely sure how the rest of the service went but I'm pretty sure they were not asked back again.
I would interject one small note, if I may...The name of a person's chosen denomination may not be as revealing as we may think. There is a salesman at work who is very strong in his Catholic faith and I have looked for opportunities to understand his religion. In one of our conversations, he spoke about how he had returned and re-dedicated his life to Christ just a few years back. I spoke of what re-dedication meant and of being born again. I once worked with a nun who totally believed in the born-again and Holy Spirit life, she herself claiming both.
Is it possible that we are too quick to judge from only what we see and think to be wrong, without really understanding? Can I really assume that because a person , though their heart may be right, doesn't practice their faith the way that I think they should, they are wrong?
I would use these opportunities before me to witness but I would never condone a religion that is without the true Gospel of Christ. I would, however, want to be sure of a person's heart place before I begin to condemn them.
There have been, even here, those how perpetuated a certain doctrine of "religion" without any real knowledge. I, for one was considered condemned because I am a woman who preaches and teaches. Others were condemned because of the music, even though it was gospel, because it was not "good old southern gospel". Where will we draw the lines on how we judge, condemn, or exhort?
There is only one test of rightness to God. It is the HEART. The Lord Himself says, that by their love one for another, all men will know that they are my disciples.
Much of your discourse is very accurate and requires much study and meditation and I am very willing to learn and be taught.Thank you for this and please continue. Feel free to correct me if you feel that I am wrong in any of my statements and I will accept it but please accept my comments also.

    In His Service,
