This is wherethose numbers and colons are helpful. We would know where you have read. For instance in Matthew chapter 19 verse 26 (Matt 19:26)where Jesus is talking about this he says "With man this is impossible but with God all things are possible" He is saying that its harder for rich people to come to God because the trust their money to save them. But if they do God can save them.
I'm not as sure where you were for your other concern but God forgives everything. If you have accepted Jesus' sacrifice, (believed in what he said) then all sins are forgiven. The ones in your past and the ones you will commit. Its never about what you did, its about what Jesus did.
