What a wonderful message you are sending out.
Especially meaningful because you have experienced it first hand.
I believe the same is so true in my case.
The more I give - the more I get!
That's not why I give at all though.
He gives me so many opportunities and you have to be available to see and hear them.

I agree. So often I have found that by giving, the way the Lord answers is by opening my eyes to something that already existed around me, but that I had ignored. Or, a connection with a person I already know but maybe had not been in contact with for a while, reopens with a blessing in it. Truly I have seen over and over that God uses what is already in our hands; just sometimes we don't realize what He has already given. As a note just as a confirmation, someone called today. He had bid on 2 laptops on e-bay and won both bids, so asked if I would like the second one. Praise the Lord, you know what I said...yes, I've wanted one for a long time! I say trying to get people to believe that God still blesses for tithes and offerings because I never realized until recently that many Christians do not believe in tithes and offerings because it is Old Testament. I say the things I say to encourage people to tithe so that God can bless them. This same person whom God used to bless me with the computer is one of many people whom I have encouraged to tithe. This young person told me that he was being offered a tremendous job increase in pay and benefits and time off and knows it was due to tithing and God honoring the tithes and offerings. I say this to say, God is no respector of persons. Another person I know, someone who was on social security and it was not enough, is someone else I talked to about tithing. This person tithes and gives, to church and also specifically to an orphange in Israel, and has since gotten a job helping at a brother-in-law's place of work. This has doubled his income doing work he is qualified to do. I say these things because if I have one thing I feel I need to get across to people, it is the blessing of tithing. And personally, I have found, and I think other people who tithe would agree with this...you go through a test. You feel you need to give. It is generally more than you comfortably can. You wonder, you hesitate, you give...and lo and behold, on the other side, God blesses.
