I hope I am not a burden to post here, since my name alone could be enough to cause pain. I can always sign under a different nom de plume, should that be appropriate. I understand your pain. Take solace in the fact that there could still be others out there who might be able to reach him for Christ. Ultimately, it is God that will make all of this possible.
I'll not advise you here. I am not adequate in experience to shed any new light. I'll just pray a short prayer for your peace. I am sure you did more than I would, even if less than Christ (which is true of all of us!) and I know you should have peace with this, even should you choose to chase it further. Simply Peace is my prayer for you. I can ask for that in faith, and I have. Let it be so!

I like the fact that God nudges us to pray for even the atheist. It's a sign of how much He loves each and everyone of us, that He even gets others to pray for our salvation.

I joined the board where they last heard of him. Pretty controversial but I am determined the best way to find him is to hang at his haunts and have his former pals know of my determination to speak with him again. I was agnostic before Chist rescued me---not quite the same league---but closer than I cared to get. Thanks Lee for the concern I feel.

I am glad to see you pursueing this, even if it does not lead to the place I am certain you hope for it to go. Along the journey, there are adequate challenges and rewards to be had, I am sure.

I hope it is a genuine burden in my heart and not seasonal good will. So many people have contacted me from my message board after disappearing for years. Either way, yes or no, at least I feel good about trying. Thanks as always for stopping by here, Mel.
