Hello, dear Christian, Yes, your words reflect a longing, pleading and affirming. We must remember that to be a Christian is to be prepared to suffer. "Is the servant greater than his master?" If Christ suffered, so must we.
So many people come to Christ believing that their troubles will pass away like leaves in autumn, and prosperity and health will abound, so everyone can see you're a child of God.
The reality is, the cross we wear so easily around our necks is a symbol, not only of suffering, but of death also. We must be prepared to die off our worldly life in order to live for Him.
That's hard, my dear friend. Very hard, and very few ever get it right. The best praise we can offer Him is a clean, upright life.
