There are a lot of ways to look at it, but you can be sure that all of this spiritual growth won't come without a challenge. Maybe its Satan, maybe its your old habits, maybe even God making it more meaningful, but you will have bad days. You handled it just right, bury yourself in God. Hold on to as much as you can and wait for God's help. He is faithful.

Remember, if the world were against you, but God is for you, the outcome is already sure. As much as this sounds like an empty platitude at times I will still say it: You are not alone and forsaken. You were bought and paid for at a very high price, so that you could be called his child. Not so that you could claim to be his child, although that is also true, but so that he could claim you as his child, a very dear child as are all who are his.

My day much improved after immersing myself in His word. Even though the prognosis for my foot is not good, I feel prepared to accept God's will.

Hey Terri -
Just hang in there - and sadly, you might even spend many more tears on pain and hurt. Remember that you are always setting the example for your husband and I'd encourage you to always do what you know is the right thing to do instead of acting out of the flesh. When your husband accepts salvation - all of this is worthwhile - I promise!
