Ouch! But, although this is not being gentle, I think it is forthright, and one aspect of Christianity that has been diluted to meaninglessness. Therefore, AMEN!

    In Christ,

In Norway it is now illegal to discriminate homosexuals. To act out the condemnation of the sin has become an offense - a criminal act. By the King one is ridiculing the Word "not strong enough" to stand against material law. :)

Brother Michael has invited me to elaborate on my comment. And so I will. But first: Thank you Lord for by this post of brother Michael letting me grasp the notion of sin.

With respect to homosexuality one thing is to abstain from condemning homosexuality. One thing is not to criminalize homosexual acts (which we in Norway stopped doing in 1972). Quite another thing is to forbid anyone else to condemn homosexual acts. Doing so one goes to war against the presumptions of the one condemning, and in this case the presumptions of the one condemning are given by The Lord. By criminalizing condemnation of homosexuality one will forbid God to work in the country. By doing so, and this is now done in Norway, one is in fact also ridiculing the Word “not strong enough” to stand against material law. So by this particular law the King of Norway, in whose name the law is stated, commits blasphemy. Therefore the kingdom of Norway cannot persist. It will not be justified, be kept alive by The Lord. It is condemned.

This particular law was sanctioned by Crown Prince Haakon in the absence of King Harald, but king Harald has not cancelled the law. Even if the law is sanctioned by the King, King Harald has always been quite clear on his understanding of being the King as his duty. Being the King to him is his work – his mission to represent the Norwegian people. And so King Harald himself, or his son Crown Prince Haakon, cannot be said to have committed blasphemy by this law.

I know from scripture that we are not supposed to judge others or we will judged by the same measure, BUT, it is difficult not to have an opinion.
I will just pray to our Heavenly Father, that Ted has asked for total forgiveness and really, really does understand and repent of his sins. We can never know what really lurks in the heart of Ted but God knows and He will judge him. Blessings to you today.
