Whew! Colin! That one sure tears my heart out! Thanks for the needed reminder to remember the price paid by those who died for our freedom...yes, especially the "Ultimate Freedom Fighter for our souls, our Saviour Christ Jesus.
God's blessings on you today, my Irish friend!
    Love,

Thank you, Colin, for sharing such a touching memorial to those who have served and died for our freedoms, especially Jesus. He is the ultimate Veteran, winning victory over the very enemy of our souls. Your poem and the photo with it are beautiful.

Have a blessed day in the Lord, my brother!

Hi Colin, thanks for your profound tribute to the One True God, who paid the ultimate price to set us free, and inspired righteous men to take their place, in protecting us from the evil. Dear brother I pray that we never forget what has been done for us.

    love

Hi Sharon...I was actually in my band on Sunday leading a Remembrance Day parade. It was a beautiful but cold day and we had a very good turn out for the parade. My own little country has known awful violence and bloodshed over the last 30 years. Do you know they set off a bomb at a cenataph 20 years ago in the middle of a Remembrance Day service and murdered nearly 30 people and maimed many more. Yes Sharon....it tears the heart out of me as well when I remember. God bless

Colin, no I didn't know that (about the bomb and killing of so many people during a Remembrance Day service!)... knowing that, makes the poem even that much more touching. I can hardly wait for our Lord to return when there will be no more need of anyone's blood being shed!
    Take care, my friend.
    God's blessings!
    with love and prayers,
    sharon

What a great tribute to our men and women who died for our safety. And most of all, Jesus who died for our salvation. May we never forget.
    May God Bless

Yes Sharon....that was an awful day. Someone captured the scene on their video camera and it was appalling to watch. There was a documentary about it on TV at the weekend. It also pointed out that they had set another bomb somewhere else but it failed to explode..else the carnage would have been greater. God have mercy on all of us.
