Thanksgiving
In the United States, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November. The first Thanksgiving was celebrated by the Pilgrims in 1621 to celebrate a successful harvest in the new land. The celebration was based on harvest traditions that the colonists brought with them from England. In 1863, Abraham Lincoln proclaimed Thanksgiving as a national holiday. In the modern US, Families get together for a big feast with turkey and grandma's apple pie. Many American families get together to watch football. However, beyond food and football, Thanksgiving is also about giving thanks to God for all His blessing. Let us not forget Him.
A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVNG TO ALL. GOD BLESS
In His Love

Dear Brenda, what a great poem again! Thank You. Although we do not celebrate Thanksgiving in Europe, I am going to adopt the holiday and I am going to take time out to praise and worship the Lord and give Him thanks!
I wish You a wonderful Thanksgiving and many blessings to You and Your loved ones,
