And let me add, as an afterthought:
God can speak to us even through an unbeliever. If an unbeliever offers you knowledge or wisdom, do not reject what they say outright, rather measure it against God's word. Surely, if he can speak though a donkey, he can speak through anyone...

I firmly believe that the 'TRUTH' is that "God is love" What we do is try to evaluate God in our dimensions, because we cannot think outsde our own environment. When we begin to think of God as outside time & space as we understand it, we can then see God in a different light. (No pun intended). The creation theory put forward by Darwin is just that, a theory, so anti-believers hang on to that as truth. They have nowhere else to hang their hats.
The way forward might be to love people into the Kingdom, not trying to burn then over the fires of hell, as we have been doing in Scotland for centuries. That praise the Lord is now out. When we are stood in front of God on judgement day our Jesus will be our advocate & the promises of God will come to pass. Hallelujah.
The omniscience of God is undisputed by Christians, so using creation to speak is his prerogative, a donkey comes under that genus.
Love the post, We certainly do not know very much! when push comes to shove, our knowledge is extremely limited. Todays much publicised theories become yesterdays failings. The one true datum still remains "God is Love".
Now thats Awesome

Ok, the first time I read this, it went straight over my head. Tonight, I have really read it, often re-reading sentences to grasp what you are saying and by George - I think you hit the nail right on the head. Makes perfect sense. I am impressed Mel - you have knocked the socks right off my feet!
Now I am beginning to understand - thanks

I have been thinking along these lines for years now. Every time I think of it, something more comes out into view. My knowledge grows, and I feel like I know less. Ironic, isn't it? Yet I continue. A mystery indeed...
