I format in MS Word. Then I Copy and paste. I post using IE 6, and it seems to hold the formatting usually. I sometimes get a quirk here and there. I used to manually mark my stuff up with html tags (not that had really, once you get used to it) but something changed, and I got less than good results. The html tags still seem to work fine in these comments.
