UNfortunately, the tradition that w tend to hold on to the hardest is legalism. Throughout history people have wanted to feel special by judging others. Although the idea can be carried too far, one good effect of losing some traditions is that more people can feel loved by God, and his people. That is a part of the changes that we need to hold on to.

Hi Michael, A great post on traditon. There are many churches that follow traditons, has been handed down from generation to generation.I wonder at times, don't they ever read God's word, or just preach or teach on what they have heard. A Christian that has studed God's word, and is led by the Holy Spirit will know the difference......
