    Dear Brother Brandon,

I must admit, you have lost me. I do not follow. Paul instructs Timothy that the younger widows should remarry. The reasons are even given. (1 Tim 5:11-15) Your reference to Luke 20:27-36 (also Matt 22:23-30 & Mark 12:18-25) is commented in a way to lead me to believe you think this custom (remarrying brothers to bear children for the brother who failed to do so -- used as an illustration by the Sadducees) was wrong and that further, Angels are made male and female.

I do not see this. You will really have to help me understand this construct of Angels being Gendered male and female. I have not heard this. I am not saying it is not so, for if it is, I wish to understand it as it is, not as how I think it is. My understanding is just totally lacking in this area.

Still, some of what you said I have a hard time reconciling with 1 Cor 7 (pretty much the whole chapter) and what Jesus tells us in Mark 10:2-12 and Matt 19:3-11, including the comment by the Disciples about it being better not to marry, and Jesus' response to that response of theirs.

It may be that I really have just lost your whole train of thought. Consider how you would explain this to a child. Hopefully, I don't need it that simple, but I might. Sorry to be so dense. Forgive me.

    In Truth,

    Mel
