I think the very root is: "Let me fix it..."
Let God fix it. Act with what wisdom you can, but don't fool yourself into thinking that you have ever fixed anything!!!
As for secondhand brides, if that bride is a widow, or was not a believer when divorced, I can condemn no one willing to bear that burden...
Outside those two cases, I might say it is wrong and would likely be bold enough to call it unwise...
