Hi Brian, this is a sad commentary on the darkness of this present age. Yet dispite all this I pray that we the saints do not get so distracted that we neglect the only cure. We all must continue to love the sinner, but hate the sin. We have to continually witness, at every opportunity, because the lake of fire is going to last forever for the sinner.God's desire is for every soul to be saved. I do know that not everyone wants to be saved. I think we have to be careful never to give up telling others about Jesus, whether they accept or not. I believe that every saint must be very careful to not overly focus on darkness of this world, which can be damaging to our Christian walk. We must follow Jesus.

Interesting thoughts, serola, and I do agree with them (and you) that we shouldn't overly focus on the darkness of this world, but many (even those calling themselves Christian) aren't aware or don't seem to care about being aware of our Enemy. With that respect, I do want to state that I appreciate Brian's blog...We have t.v., but I don't watch it (unless there's a Gaither Homecoming Concert on). and we don't get newspapers in our home, so I live mostly "unaware" of what's happening in the world unless friends send me emails or I come across blogs such as Brian's and rapturealert.com I've rambled on too much when the point I wanted to make is we don't need to "dwell" on the dark side, but we sure do need to be aware and as you also said, serola, we must not give up telling others about Jesus; once they hear the Gospel, it will be their choice to receive or reject Him. God help us to be faithful to Him!

I agree wholeheartedly with you Sharon41, we certainly do have to understand and be aware of the enemy. What I am trying to say is that we need to maintain a balance so that satan is not the only thing we focus on. I don't have a tv, just the radio, but the scriptures has warned us that although evil shall abound, good shall much more abound. My only concern is that we should keep Jesus as our primary focus, because without Him we can do nothing.
