Whoa! Under IE 6, this is really bad!!!
But under Opera this poem displays just as I want it to. I've decided to leave the formating as is, so as to entice some of you to start supporting the PNG format. (which is causing all of this mess above!)
Microsoft has some info here on Internet Explorer 7, which will support transparent (and hopefully fully support even Alpha Channel transparancy) PNG images.

This Poem was originally started while I was serving overseas in Germany. It is just a general poem about the Circle of Life -- From inevitable decay to the birth of another day. What I saw when I wrote this is the decline and decay of every great civilization we have ever known and the rebirth of new civilizations to take their place...

Like I prefaced this blog, this is for a pretty general audience. If I can get my dad to put up his poetry in another blog, his work is a little more 'on subject'.
But, look at the works by C.S. Lewis and Tolkien. Again, not what everyone thinks of as Christian Literature...

BTW, the formating works OK on IE 5.5 for Mac and better still under Safari (Mac OSX browser)
