Do you love the world?

Read: 1 John 4:7-11

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. --John 3:16

The words "For God so loved the world" are cherished by every believer. But without realizing it, their familiarity can dull our appreciation of their full meaning. I became aware of my own ingratitude one Christmas when I received a card that said, "God still loves the world!" That card has adorned my kitchen wall ever since. It reminds me that God's love is always and forever in the present tense.

John 3:16 also emphasizes that God's endless love for the world motivated Him to give His Son for its redemption. But what is meant by the word world? While God is concerned about our polluted planet, He is supremely concerned about the souls of those who inhabit it. Followers of Christ must love the world too. We must see it as a world of individuals who are lost and need to hear the gospel.

A mature Christian said to a young, enthusiastic believer, "You love to witness to people, don't you?" "Yes, I do," was the hasty reply. "But do you love the people you witness to?" he probed. He knew the possibility of witnessing to people without necessarily loving them as individuals.

Let's be careful we don't go through the motions without loving those we're talking to. Our witness will lack power without the force of God's love. --JEY

Is insincere and lacks the strength

It seems that my husband just seems like he's not interested in being with me, I finally talked him into going out last night, we went and had a burger, I enjoyed being with him alot, but he seems distant from me..I think of romantic times with him..we've been together for years, as a matter of fact this past December was our 16th wedding anniversery..you know you can tell when you just don't feel welcome in someone's life, so I feel this with him..he says it's nothing but he seems distracted and like he don't want my company..but God says all things will come to pass...I know he mentioned last night that God has answered alot of our prayers this past two weeks that we've been praying about for 8 months, so maybe it takes me to leave it alone and let our Lord work.

Embrace me

I feel the love through your embrace

the time has slipped away so fast

all I want is it to last.

The smell of winds rushing through

the sounds combine.

Your love so true helps nature unwind.

You shelter me with love so deep,

your touch leaves me feeling sweet.

Help me to feel your embrace within

for your shelter is my desire inside

so deep I take in your words divine

all you say helps me to unwind.

Our Meeting Place!

As I rise in the morning
I think of you with greeting.

We have a meeting place deep in my heart.

I thank you for another day
I love all your ways.

The love you have showed deep in my soul
keeps me under control.

We meet in the mornings
we talk about the day
I ask you to show me your ways.

Our meeting place is special deep in my heart
When something disrupts that it makes me upset
so I need you to take control.

I have had problems with my faith and with doubt
but you have seemed to strengthened that
which I never thought it would happen with
all the pain I have had
really seemed so bad.

When we meet at our place
you take me in your arms with such a awesome embrace.

I have never seen your face
but I long to have you right in this space
where we call our meeting place.

There are  battles now I'm going through
still with my faith but you say
if I have faith as small as a mustard seed,
I can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move.
Nothing will be impossible for me. "  
So this is why we meet in our place
so I can always increase my faith.
I know your with me
even when I fail
it seems my family is being attacked
and my heart goes out for them
this I don't understand
how can they not want to seek you
or share your love
I feel anger and it makes
me anxious and my heart hurts
so we meet in our place
forever you and I will work
together as my faith grows more
as I seek you this day
help me to know your hand
help me take a stand.

My Heart

Feelings today are not real good, my heart seems to be hurting the way others treat me or talk to me..I don't understand alot of things but still I search for God's truth..I keep this verse in my heart alot Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I have been praying the past 8 months for certain things to come to pass, and God says all things shall come to pass..and I am finally seeing answers to prayers, but one thing I need help with praying is for my marriage, my husband seems to be far from the Lord, he did give his life to Him in 2001 but he seems to be so far, he's doing worldly things and using worldly speech..we moved from michigan last year and it's all new to us here in Ohio..we lost our house up there and now we finally got to move into a house that we both love, but we lived in a house for seven months that we didn't feel at home in..please pray for me and my husband , he seems far from me and the Lord..
