WHAT IS ESCOLOGY?
Eschatology is the study of theology dealing with the four last things – death, judgment, heaven and hell. Eschatology is derived from the Greek word, eschatos, meaning last or final. Eschatological theories are named using Latin and English words. There are four theories. 1) HISTORIC PREMILLENNIALISM
2) DISPENSATIONAL PREMILLENNIALISM
3) POSTMILLENNIALISM
4) AMILLENNIALISM Millennium, meaning a thousand years, is made up of two Latin words mille (a thousand) and annus (year). Millennium is used for the thousand years recorded in Revelation 20:1-7. Historic Premillennialism teaches that the Second Coming of Jesus will occur at the end of the Tribulation before the commencement of the thousand years recorded in Revelation 20:1-7. The thousand years are literal.
Dispensational Premillennialism teaches two future comings of Jesus, one at the time of the rapture and one at the end of the Tribulation. The Tribulation will be followed by a thousand years as recorded in Revelation 20: 1-7. The thousand years are literal. There are three groups of dispensational premillennialists. The pretribulation rapture group, the midtribulation rapture group and the prewrath rapture group.
Postmillennialism teaches that the Second Coming of Jesus will take place after the thousand years. The thousand years are literal. Postmillennialism teaches that the world will be Christianized. Amillennialism teaches that the Second Coming of Jesus will take place at the close of the Tribulation. The thousand years of Revelation 20: 1-7 are not literal and future. They are symbolic and cover an extended period of time. They are in progress now.
A careful study of the Scriptures will show that Amillennialism is the only valid theory.
EMA 'AN ZION Gabriel A. Goldberg, one of three authors of the newsletter from the above named ministry in Israel writes: “If God’s covenant with Israel would end and the Jewish people would no longer be His Chosen People, human existence would end. The universe as we know it would end” ( "Hashivah" The Return Vol. XLVI, Number 4, 2023-5784, p. 4). His assertion is not supported by Scripture. God promised Israel that she would remain a nation until the end of the age (Jer. 31: 36). He did not promise her that she would remain his chosen people until the end of the age. In fact, God promised Israel that he would make a new covenant with her. "The time is coming," declares the Lord, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah" (Jer. 31: 31). THE NEW COVENANT The new covenant was put into effect through the precious blood of our Savior/ Messiah and LORD, Jesus Christ. Although God, through the prophet Jeremiah, announced the new covenant to the people of Israel and the people of Judah (Jer. 31: 31), Scripture asserts that the new covenant is for the world. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3: 16). Under the first covenant, the Israelites were God's chosen people (Exod. 19: 5-6; Psalm 33: 12), but under the new covenant, believers, both Jews and Gentiles are God's chosen people. The apostle Paul stated concerning believers under the new covenant. Through faith in Christ Jesus, both Jews and Gentiles become children of God. They are one in Christ Jesus. Anyone who belongs to Christ becomes a seed of Abraham and an heir according to the promise (Gal. 3: 26-29). WHEN JESUS DIED When Jesus breathed his last, "the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom," exposing the Holy of Holies (Matt. 27: 51; Mark 15: 38), signifying the establishment of the new covenant and making the first covenant obsolete (Heb. 9: 13). When the first covenant became obsolete, all that pertained to it also became obsolete. Judaism had run its course. A believer in Jesus could now communicate with God the Father through Jesus. Nobody can come to the Father except through me (John 14: 6). Under the new covenant, believers, both Jews and Gentiles are God's chosen people. The apostle Paul wrote: As believers in Christ, there is no Gentile or Jew, but Christ is all, and is in all. So as God’s chosen people who are truly loved show compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience (Col. 3: 11 - 12). The apostle Peter penned the following to believers who were scattered over the Roman world, the majority of whom were Jews. You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. You belong to God. So praise him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light ( 1 Pet. 2: 9). WHAT ABOUT ISRAEL? The prophet Isaiah penned the following: “The Redeemer will come to Zion to those in Jacob who repent of their sins,” declares the LORD (Isa. 59: 20). The prophet Zechariah paints a bleak picture for the Israelites. The Lord declares: Two-thirds of Israel will be struck down and perish. The remaining third will pass through the fire and will call on my name. … They will call on me and I will answer them. The Lord will say: “They are my people,' and they will say, 'The LORD is our God”(Zech. 13: 9). THE DAY OF JUDGMENT On the day of judgment, our Lord Jesus Christ will gather all people before him, people from the creation of the world to the last person to be born before his coming. He will place the righteous on his right (those who have received him into their hearts) and the unrighteous on his left ( those who have rejected him) ( Matt 25: 33). He will say to those on his right: “Come, you who are blessed by my Father, take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world” (Matt. 25: 34). To those on his left, he will say: “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels” ( Matt. 25: 41). A PRAYER TO BE SAVED / BORN AGAIN Almighty God, I thank you that you sent your one and only Son, Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of the world. Lord Jesus, I thank you that you died on the cross for my sins. Almighty God, I believe that you raised him from the dead as the Bible declares. Jesus, I confess my sins to you. I am sorry for them and I turn away from them. Please forgive me I pray. Jesus, I now receive you into my heart as my Savior/Messiah and LORD. Please fulfill your plan for my life through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. EXPOSING FALSE TEACHING
Several letters were sent to the following ministries pointing out unscriptural teaching. Scriptural corrections were also sent. I was disappointed when no steps were taken to make the necessary corrections. I believe that there will be a consequence for rejecting the truth of Scripture. Remember Moses and Aaron (Num. 20: 12)!
Dr. Charles F. Stanley, pastor and author, in his book, HANDBOOK FOR CHRISTIAN LIVING, made many false statements in his chapters on the end times.
He taught the following:
1) a pretribulation rapture (p. 279) the rapture is imminent 2) a seven-year tribulation period (p. 282) 3) Israel and the church are two distinct entities (p. 275) 4) Israel will be restored and repossess the ancient land (p. 276) 5) the second coming of Christ will occur before the millennium (p. 269)
Dr. David Jeremiah, in his book "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?" teaches the same concepts as Dr. Stanley.
Dr. John Ankerberg on his program, "THE JOHN ANKERBERG SHOW" along with other guests taught the same concepts as Dr. Stanley and Dr. Jeremiah.
Our Lord, Jesus Christ taught that he will raise up all the dead at the same time (John 5: 28 - 29). He also taught that he will raise up those that the Father has given him at the last day (John 6: 39 - 40). The conclusion is that the rapture will take place at the last day. The rapture is not imminent.
The apostle Paul taught that the rapture will take place on the day of the Lord (2 Thess. 2: 1 - 4). He further taught that two things must happen before the day of the Lord comes - there will be a rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness (NIV) (the Antichrist) will be revealed. The rapture is not imminent.
The apostle warned the Thessalonians that they should not allow anyone to deceive them in any way.
The apostle Peter taught that the day of the Lord is the day of judgment.
"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare" (2 Pet. 3: 10). More proof that the rapture is not imminent.
Dr. Luke tells us that Jesus must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything. He writes:
"He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets" (Acts 3: 21).
The apostle Peter informs us that God will restore everything on the day of judgment by creating a new heaven and a new earth. He writes: "But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness" (2 Pet. 3: 13).
The conclusion is that Jesus will remain in heaven until the day of judgment, showing that the second coming and the coming down from heaven for the rapture are the same event (Matt, 25: 31 - 46; 1 Thess. 4: 16 - 17).
Since God will usher in his eternal reign when our Lord, Jesus Christ returns on the day of judgment (Matt. 25: 31 - 46; Rev. 11: 15), therefore the thousand years recorded in Revelation 20: 1 - 7 cannot follow the second coming. They must precede it because time and eternity cannot coexist. The thousand years are now in progress. Our Lord, Jesus Christ is reigning with his saints.
An earthly millennial reign after the second coming is unscriptural and impossible.
A seven-year tribulation period is taught. A seven year tribulation is derived from falsely referencing Daniel’s seventieth week. A careful study of Daniel’s prophecy (Dan. 9: 24 - 27) will show that the Anointed One was cut off after the seven ‘sevens’ and sixty-two ‘sevens’, that is, after the sixty-ninth ‘sevens. The Anointed One was cut off during the seventieth week. Daniel’s seventieth week is fulfilled prophecy.
Daniel tells us that the tribulation period will last for three and a half years or forty-two months.
He recorded: “ …The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time” (Dan. 7: 25).
We read in Revelation: “The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months” (Rev. 13: 5).
The pretribulation, the midtribulation and the prewrath rapture theories are unscriptural and Satanic. They reject the teaching of our Lord, his apostles and that of Dr. Luke.
Those who teach a pretribulation, midtribulation and prewrath rapture believe that Israel will continue as a nation possessing the land that God promised to Abram (Gen. 13: 15; Gen. 15: 18). In so doing, they reject the authority of Scripture. Our Lord Jesus Christ informs us that when he comes on the day of judgment, he will gather all nations before him. The righteous will go into eternal life and the unrighteous into eternal punishment.
"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life" (Matt. 25: 46).
After the judgment there will be no nations. People will go into eternal life and eternal punishment as individuals. Also, there will be no lands to possess or repossess. Dr. Stanley wrote: " ... Israel and the church are two distinct entities." But Scripture assures us that both Jewish and Gentile believers are members of one body. The apostle Paul revealed the mystery of Christ to the Ephesians. " This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus" (Eph. 3: 6).
Dr. Jeremiah wrote: "When you look at a map and locate that tiny strip of land that Israel claims as hers, you can see that she does not now, nor has she fully occupied the land that was described to Abraham in God's covenant promise. If Israel were currently occupying all the land promised to her, she would control all the holdings of present day Israel, Lebanon, the West Bank of Jordan and substantial portions of Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. Not until the Millennium will Israel occupy all the land the Lord gave her in His promise to Abraham." (WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON? Thomas Nelson, Nashville, Tennessee, 2008), pp. 10 - 11.
We learn from Scripture that all the land that God promised to Abram was in Israel's possession when King Solomon ruled. "And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. ..." (1 Kings 4: 21).
Premillennialists teach that Israel will continue as a nation after the second coming. In so doing, they completely ignore the significance of calvary. Our Lord by his crucifixion and resurrection made it possible for all who believe to become members of his body (John 3: 16). When he comes on the day of judgment, the resurrection will occur (Rev. 11: 18). Our Lord will gather all nations before him (Matt. 25: 31 - 32). The righteous will go into eternal life in the Holy City, the new Jerusalem and the unrighteous into eternal punishment in the fiery lake of burning sulfur (Matt. 25: 46; Rev. 21: 1 - 8). After the judgment at the second coming, there will be no nations.
Premillennialists teach that the righteous will go into eternity before the unrighteous at the time of their rapture. But our Lord Jesus Christ taught that all people will go into eternity at the same time (Matt. 13: 36 - 43; Matt. 25: 46).
The unrighteous will go into eternal punishment but the righteous into eternal life (Matt. 25: 46).
I want to encourage you to be faithful to the word of God because there will be a consequence for rejecting the truth. Remember Moses and Aaron (Num. 20: 12)!

AMAZING FACTS MINISTRIES
Pastor Doug Batchelor, President of Amazing Facts Ministries teaches that the Sabbath law is still in effect. Is the Sabbath law still in effect?
The Sabbath law was given to the Israelites under the first covenant. We read: " ... They are to keep my laws and my decrees for all my appointed feasts, and they are to keep my Sabbaths holy" (Ezek. 44: 24).
WHAT DID THE SABBATH LAW REQUIRE?
They were required to work for six days. The seventh day was a holy day. The day was to be a Sabbath of rest to the Lord. If anyone worked on the Sabbath the penalty was death. "Do not light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day" (Exod. 35: 3). For six years they were required to plant their fields and harvest their crops. During the seventh year, they were not allowed to do any work on the land. Crops in the fields were for the poor and the animals. They were required to do the same with their vineyards and their olive groves. The seventh day also provided rest for their animals as well their slaves born in their household and the alien (Exod. 23: 10 - 12). When the new covenant was established, the first covenant became obsolete. All the laws, regulations and practices under it came to an end. Judaism had run its course. Under the new covenant, there are no laws. Born again believers operate on the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5: 22 - 23) and the gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor. 12: 7 - 11).
Those who rely on observing the law are under a curse. We read in Scripture: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law (Gal. 3: 10).
The apostle Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit wrote: "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ" (Col. 2: 16 - 17).

Pastor Doug Batchelor, Director of Amazing Facts ministries made many false statements in his teaching on the end times. We will point these out and share what the Scriptures teach.
THE RESURRECTION
Pastor Batchelor teaches two future resurrections separated by a thousand years. In so doing, he rejects the teaching of the prophet Daniel, our Lord Jesus Christ and his apostles. Multitudes of the dead will be resurrected, some will go into everlasting life and others into everlasting punishment (Dan. 12: 2).
Do not be surprised, in the future all the dead will hear Jesus' voice and rise. The righteous will live with God eternally and the unrighteous will be punished eternally (John 5: 28 - 29).
In his defense before Felix, the apostle Paul said: I have the same hope in God as these Jewish leaders. There will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous (Acts 24: 15).
The apostle Peter taught one future resurrection and one future coming of our Lord. "But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead" (1 Pet. 4: 5).
"They will say, 'Where is this coming' he promised? ... But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. ... But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness" (2 Pet. 3: 4 - 13).
The apostle John announced the commencement of the eternal reign after the sounding of the seventh trumpet. At that time, the resurrection and judgment will follow. The righteous will be rewarded and the unrighteous punished.
"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever. ... The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, ... and for destroying those who destroy the earth" (Rev. 11: 15 - 18).
There can be no debate on the truth that there will be one resurrection of all the dead. The resurrection will take place at the last trumpet, at the last day, the day of judgment when our Lord Jesus Christ returns (Dan. 12: 2; John 5: 28 - 29; John 6: 39 - 40; Acts 24: 15; 1 Cor. 15: 22 - 23; 1 Cor. 15: 51 - 52; 1 Thess. 4: 16 - 5: 4; 2 Tim. 4: 1; 1 Pet. 4: 5; Rev. 11: 18; Rev. 20: 11 - 15).
SOUL SLEEP
Pastor Batchelor teaches soul sleep, that is, the soul sleeps in the grave until the resurrection takes place. This is true only for the unbeliever. The souls of born again believers do not remain in the grave until the resurrection. The apostle Paul wrote: " ... I desire to depart and be with Christ, ... " (Phil. 1: 23). As born again believers die, their souls/spirits go immediately to heaven. We observe that there are souls in heaven before the resurrection at the last day (Rev. 6: 9 - 11). The soul of the unrighteous remains in the grave until the resurrection at the last day. We read: "The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended" (Rev. 20: 5).
TWO FUTURE COMINGS
Pastor Batchelor teaches two future comings of our Lord, one at the time of the rapture and the other a thousand years later. This concept is not supported by Scripture. The apostle Peter informs us that there will be one future coming of our Lord. It will take place on the day of judgment (the day of the Lord - the day of God).
" ... Where is this 'coming' he promised? ... But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare" (2 Pet. 3: 4, 10).
THE WICKED
Pastor Batchelor teaches that the wicked will be slain at the second coming of Christ and will be raised a thousand years later to receive their judgment and reward. Our Lord Jesus Christ taught that all the dead will hear his voice and come out (John 5: 28 -29). When he judges all nations at his coming on the day of judgment (Matt. 25: 31 - 32), the unrighteous will go into eternal punishment and the righteous into eternal life.
"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life" (Matt. 25: 46).
DESTROYED FOREVER
Pastor Batchelor teaches that the wicked will be destroyed forever at the end of the thousand years. Our Lord Jesus Christ taught that when he judges all nations, the unrighteous (the wicked) will go into eternal punishment.
"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life" (Matt. 25: 46).
CONFINEMENT OF SATAN AND HIS ANGELS
Pastor Batchelor teaches that Satan and his evil angels will be confined to the desolated earth for a thousand years. Since eternity will commence on the day of judgment when our Lord returns and judges all nations (Matt. 25: 31 - 46), therefore the thousand years recorded in Revelation 20: 1 - 7 cannot follow the second coming because time and eternity cannot coexist. The thousand years must precede the second coming. The thousand years are in progress now. We are informed in Scripture that Jesus must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet (1 Cor. 15: 25). Death is the last enemy to be destroyed (1 Cor. 15: 26). Death will be destroyed at the time of the resurrection. Since Satan is an enemy (1 Pet. 5: 8), he must be destroyed before death, that is, before the resurrection.
THE BEAST AND THE FALSE PROPHET
When Jesus comes judgment will be carried out. " ... The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur" (Rev. 19: 20).
SATAN
"And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever" (Rev. 20: 10).
RIGHTEOUS IN HEAVEN FOR A THOUSAND YEARS?
Pastor Batchelor teaches that the righteous will go to heaven for a thousand years.
We learn from Scripture that God will create a new heaven and a new earth on the day of judgment when our Lord returns (2 Pet. 3: 13). At that time, the Holy City, the new Jerusalem will come down out of heaven. The righteous will live with God in the Holy City for all eternity (Rev. 21: 1 - 4). " ... Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God " (v. 3).

Eschatology is the study of theology dealing with the four last things – death, judgment, heaven and hell. Eschatology is derived from the Greek word, eschatos, meaning last or final. A careful study of the Scriptures will show that Amillennialism is the only valid theory.

CORRECTLY EXPLAINING THE WORD OF TRUTH ( 2 Tim. 2: 15; NLT)
THE THOUSAND YEARS (Rev. 20: 1 - 7)
INTERPRETING SCRIPTURE
We do not use our own understanding to interpret Scripture. We use Scripture to interpret Scripture. Dr. Luke tells us that Jesus must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything. He writes: "He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets" (Acts 3: 21). The apostle Peter informs us that God will restore everything on the day of judgment by creating a new heaven and a new earth ( 2 Pet. 3: 13). “But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness” ( 2 Pet. 3: 13).
The conclusion is that Jesus will remain in heaven until the day of judgment; proving that the second coming and the coming down from heaven for the rapture are the same event ( Matt. 25: 31 - 46; 1 Thess. 4: 16 - 17; Heb. 9: 28).
Since eternity will commence on the day of judgment at the coming of Jesus ( Matt. 25: 31 - 32, 46). therefore the thousand years recorded in Revelation 20 : 1 - 7 cannot follow the second coming as some teach. The thousand years must precede the second coming since time and eternity cannot coexist.
The events of the end times are presented in the following diagram. The calculation shows that our LORD ministered for three and a half years.
Are the thousand years literal?
The thousand years are not literal. They are symbolic and cover an extended period of time.
Are both thousand years of the same duration (Rev. 20:2; Rev 20:4)?
Both thousand years are of the same duration, since our calculation of the length of our LORD's ministry was shown to be three and a half years long and the tribulation period will be three and a half years long (Dan 7: 25; Rev. 13:5-8).
When did the thousand years begin?
In the case of Satan, the thousand years began at the commencement of our Lord’s ministry ( Rev. 20: 2; Matt. 12: 29), and they will end when he is set free for a short time ( Rev. 12: 12; Rev. 20: 3).
Regarding our LORD, the thousand years began at his ascension ( Rev. 20: 4; Acts 1: 9 - 11), and they will end when he comes again (Matt. 25: 31; 1 Cor. 15: 22 - 23; 1 Thess. 4: 16 - 17; 2 Thess. 1: 6 - 10; Heb. 9: 27 - 28; 1 Pet. 4: 4 - 5; 2 Pet. 3: 7 - 10). 14)
THE MILLENNIAL REIGN
Since our Lord is reigning now ( 1 Cor. 15: 25 - 26), and since he will commence his eternal reign after he judges all nations ( Matt. 25: 31 - 32, 46; Rev. 11: 15 - 18), therefore his present reign must be his millennial. The millennial reign is now in progress. It is in heaven. Our Lord is reigning with his saints, those in heaven ( Rev. 6: 9 - 11) and those on earth (John 14: 20; Col. 3: 1 - 3).
THE FIRST RESURRECTION
Many authors, pastors, Bible College professors and ministries teach that the first resurrection (Revelation 20: 5) is a physical (bodily) resurrection. Absolutely not!
The prophet Daniel, our Lord Jesus Christ, the apostle Paul and the apostle John all taught that there will be one bodily resurrection of all the dead and it will take place at the last day, at the last trumpet which is the seventh trumpet ( Dan. 12: 2; John 5: 28 - 29; John 6: 39; Acts 24: 15; 1 Cor. 15: 51 - 52; Rev. 11: 18).
The prophet Daniel foretold: All the dead will awake. The righteous will go into eternal life and the unrighteous into eternal punishment (Dan. 12: 2). The apostle John recalls the words of Jesus: Do not be surprised at this, some time in the future all the dead will hear my voice and come out of their graves. The righteous will go into eternal life and the unrighteous into eternal punishment (John 5: 28 - 29).
The apostle Paul in his defense before Felix stated: I believe in God as these men. There will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous (Acts 24: 15).
The Apostle John records the words of Jesus: It is God's will that all those he gave to me, I will raise them up at the last day (John 6: 39).
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed - in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed” (1 Cor. 15: 51 - 52).

Scripture shows unequivocally that there will be one resurrection of all the dead (Dan. 12: 2; John 5: 28 - 29; Acts 24: 15). It will take place at the last day, at the last trumpet, at the end of the age (John 6: 39; 1 Cor. 15: 51 - 52; Rev. 11: 18). Since the resurrection of all the dead will take place after the seventh trumpet is sounded, therefore the first resurrection must be a spiritual one (Rev. 20: 5).
We observe that there are souls in heaven when the fifth seal is broken.
“I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, ‘How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood’ “ (Rev. 6: 9 - 10)?
We see that the souls are alive and capable of communicating. Who are those souls? They are the souls of departed ones. They are the souls of those people who believed in a Creator from what they observed in their environment and in the starry sky. They are the souls of those people who walked with God - Enoch, Noah and others. They are the souls of those people who believed God when he spoke to them - Abram, Moses and others. They are the souls of those people who were faithful to the requirements of the first covenant. They are the souls of born again believers who have gone to be with the Lord.
The apostle Paul wrote: “ … I desire to depart and be with Christ … (Phil. 1: 23).
As born again believers die, their souls/spirits go to be with the Lord. “ … They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years” (Rev. 20: 4).
We read in the Book of Ephesians. "But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why it says: 'When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men' " (Eph. 4: 7 - 8).
THE RAPTURE - THE JUDGMENT - ETERNITY
When Jesus returns on the day of judgment, he will gather all nations unto himself. He will place the righteous on his right and the unrighteous on his left (Matt. 25: 31 - 33). He will say to those on his right : “ … Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world (Matt. 25: 34).
To those on his left, he will say: “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels (Matt. 25: 41).
THE ETERNAL REIGN
The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever” (Rev. 11: 15).
"He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus" (Rev. 22: 20).

LEMA 'AN ZION Lema 'an Zion is a ministry in Israel from which I receive a newsletter. Gabriel Goldberg is one of three authors. Below is a letter which I sent him after reading his article. Mr. Gabriel A. Goldberg M.A. Dear Gabriel, Greetings. I read your article commencing on p. 4 "Hashivah" The Return Vol. XLVI, Number 4, 2023-5784. You referenced Jeremiah 31: 35 - 37. It is interesting that you did not include verse 31 in which God promised to make a new covenant with Israel and Judah. The time will come when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah (Jer. 31: 31). You wrote: “If God’s covenant with Israel would end and the Jewish people would no longer be His Chosen People, human existence would end. The universe as we know it would end” ( p. 4). Gabriel, your assertion is not supported by Scripture. God promised Israel that she would remain a nation until the end of the age (Jer. 31: 36). He did not promise her that she would remain his chosen people until the end of the age. 13: 8 Blessings. Joseph Joseph E. Mahabir (Rev.) The favor (favour) of your reply is requested. PLEASE CONTINUE READING THE DAY OF JUDGMENT On the day of judgment, our Lord Jesus Christ will gather all people before him, people from the creation of the world to the last person to be born before his coming.
