Living in the Light
"Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path." Psalm 119:105
"I cannot forget Your love to me and yet, my heart forever is wandering. Jesus, be my guide and keep me by Your side, and I will love You to the end, and I will love You to the end." Integrity Gospel The Power of Praise: Hope
If we are following Jesus, we will not walk in darkness, but have the light of His Life to show us His way and to keep us on His path. His words are spirit and they are life. When we are experiencing any kind of darkness: confusion, misunderstanding, strife, turmoil within, loss of direction and/or priority, or whatever may be troubling us, the Spirit of the Living God is only a prayer away from leading us to the Truth that will set us free. In the beginning, He hovered over the darkness, waiting to be commanded to bring the Light (and this was before the sun, moon and stars were created!). Jesus is longing for us to turn to Him, the merciful and faithful High Priest, so He can command His Spirit to dispel our darkness. He will give to us the words of life that we need, the sure and certain and personal words, that will enable us to continue to follow Him, and with joy and freedom. He is Christ in us, our hope of glory.

Musing on His Moves
"The teaching of Your Word gives light, so even the simple can understand it." Psalm 119:130
The Word of God spoken/written under the unction of the Holy Spirit has the power to turn our darkness into light. No matter how lacking in insight we are, He is able to break through, if we are open to Him. We must be open in a child-like way to Him, not just to knowledge, or we could miss the revelation, the comfort, the word of wisdom, the encouragement, the peace He is longing to impart to us. In other words, we could miss the Truth of Who He is and what need(s) He desires to meet, if our hearts are not prepared for Him.
How do we do that? We come boldly to the throne of grace to take(yes, take) of His mercy. We give Him our hearts and ask Him to ready them to hear His voice. He is our Teacher. The Holy Spirit is looking for willing students who will worship Him in humility, confessing their need of Him honestly.
The Father's precepts are the results of visits to His holy men whom He chose and gave His appointed messages, the Word. That took communing with Him, pondering His Almighty-ness, being astonished and at a loss for breath, being awe-struck as they were overcome with His holiness, going through the entire gamut of human reactions to the most unique Being in the entire universe, as we read in His Book. The Eternal Creator deigned to speak to man and reveal Himself. His Word is alive and full of His power to continue to speak to us individually and reveal Himself personally. Do we have eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to understand and turn to Him? Let's go talk with Him.
