Where is the Joy?
 
Sometimes enjoying life is easier said than done, isnt it? When the phone is ringing, the kids are tracking mud across your carpet, your coworker doesnt pull her weight, your best friend is snippy, and your husband responds to your furrowed brow with his ever-sensitive "whats wrong with you?" finding joy (much less humor!) in the situation doesn't come naturally for most of us. Job could have been speaking for many modern women when he said " I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only turmoil... What strength do i hae, that i should still hope? What prospects, that i should be patient? Do i have the strength of stone? Is my flesh bronze? job 3;26 job 6;11-12
If were to get beyond the drudging and trudging to celebrating the abundance God promises to those who know him, then we need his perspective on our lives. We must uncover the beliefs and attitudes that keep us from experiencing the abiding joy we can have even in the mundane or frustrating moments of life. The dictionary defines joy as : a very glad feeling; delight. what exactly do you have to be glad about? How can you feel delight when things arent going your way? How can you cultivate a spirit of celebration every day?
As a christian woman, if you've ever asked the question, wheres the joy? Then lets talk about 1 peter 1:8 where GOd shows us his secrets and an inexpressible and glorious joy . I pray this passage when you read it will bless you abundantly and may you seek his face more and more and get to know the Father of all fathers and know exactly how much he desires a close and personal relationship with each and everyone of you.. In the grip of God's grace
Once there were a couple of farmers who couldn’t get along with each other. A wide ravine separated their two farms, but as a sign of their mutual distate for each other, each constructed a fence on his side of the chasm to keep the other out.
In time, however, the daughter of one met the son of the other, and the couple fell in love. Determined not to be kept apart by the folly of their fathers, they tore down the fence and used the wood to build a bridge across the ravine.
Confession does that. Confessed sin becomes the bridge over which we can walk back into the presence of God.

God's saving power
When a person gives their life over to Christ it says that we are a new creation in Him. When I gave my life to Christ as a teenager the first time I did it because i read my bible and had it all practically memorized i thought then that i knew what it was meant to be a christian. Lived the rest of my life knowing about god's word but never went faithfully to a church because i wasnt taught that and ventured off without getting a real touch of god until after i was married and lost our first child. Then i started seeing little signs pointing towards god and church but still didnt go to church faithfully We moved away from california the only home i ever knew and came here to texas and found out that my husband was cheating on me and didnt want to stay in the marriage and this was already nine years into our marriage. The only foundation i had known was my husband and now it was like my whole life had just been ripped out from underneath me. The only thing i knew to do was cry out to God, i told God to please forgive me and to please change the heart of my husband and to bring us back together as one in one mind and one accord and no nothing happened the first day or even the second day but on the third day my husband came home from work and said " iam sooo sorry , please dont leave me " My heart just melted and i knew that GOd had heard my prayers and caught all my tears. So when iam asked about the power of the almighty God i know from a heart felt sense that He does answer and take care of all our prayers and tears because he had healed a mans heart and brought him back to his wife when all others pointed at divorce. .. never loose hope in knowing that God is still God and no matter what it is your going thru you lean on him and he will see you thru those hard rocky times... You see when God's saving power comes upon someone that person truly changes right before your eyes.. My husband and i are now going on 14 yrs and we are closer together now then we ever have been, we pray together we share our visions and dreams that God lays on both of our hearts we are more loving toward eachother.. so do i see a powerfull change in my husbands life yes i do and as long as i know he is serving God with his whole heart i can rest assure that Even tho man may let us down God will never forsake us nor leave us so as long as i know my husband is faithfully serving God i am resting well in my Fathers arms and i know He is in control thru and thru..

Perhaps your childhood memories bring more hurt than inspiration. The voices of your past cursed you, belittled you, ignored you. At the time, you thought such treatment was typical. Now you see it isnt.
And now you find yourself trying to explain your past. Do you rise above the past and make a difference? Or do you remain controlled by the past and make excuses?
Think about this. Spiritual life comes from the Spirit! Your parents may have given you genes, but God gives you grace. Your parents may be responsible for your body, but God has taken charge of your soul. You may get your looks from your mother, but you get eternity from your Father, your heavenly Father. God will comfort and heal you
Lean on God for comfort, healing and strength. In the same way God comforts you, you can give comfort and help to those who are experienceing similar hardships. You can sharw what you are feling with others. Giving and receiving comfort can ease your burden and provide you and others in yoru community with hope and encouragement and teh strenght to endure.
Praise God, the Father of our lord Jesus Christ!!! The Father is a merciful God, who always gives us comfort. He comforts us when we are in trouble so that we can share that same comfort with others in trouble. Whe share in the terrible sufferings of Christ, but also in the wonderful comfort he gives to us. We suffer in the hope that you will be comforted and saved. And because we are comdorrtwd, you will also be comforted, as you patiently endure suffering like ours. You never disapoint us, you suffered as much as we did, and we know that you will be comforted as we were. 2 Cor 1:3-7
Watch for something new:
Forget what happened long ago!!! Dont think about the past, Iam crearing something new there it is! do you see it> I have put roads in deserts, streams in thirsty lands. Every wild animal honors me, even jackals and owls. I provide water n the deserts streams in thirsty lands for my chosen people. I made them my own nation, so they would praise me. Isa 43:18-21
God has a mighty plan for our lives , each and every one of us has a specific plan for our life that was specially designed by God for us. We need to just lean more on Him to guide us to that straight and narrow path so that we may find our way home.. Lets stick to Jesus he loves you and me so much that he gave himself up on that cross so that we may have eternal life .. God bless you all love carrie

Trust-faith in God
Prov 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in ALL your ways acknowlege him, and he WILL make your paths straight. For nothing is too hard for God.
When i read this scripture i take it to a very deep place in my heart and i look and reflect on my daily struggles, I am so glad to know that this here life is not all there is, you see if all we had was this life as we know it here on earth then why would any of this be worth the hassle? I know a savior and he knows me, i know that he died for me so that i may be saved (not from this life, but salvation unto eternal life in heaven with him). I have a a couple of friends that God has specifically placed in my life for a reason and its not just so that i can encourage them to keep on keeping on but also as a test for me as well i too need to know that i know that i know that God is in control of everything. We may get a diagnosis, or an illness, or someone we care so much for dies , but all in all we have to not look at what is going on around us no matter what is dished out to us there is still a higher power that rules in our life and that higher power has a plan for our life .. all the things we get dished out to us in this life has no matter because they can sometimes be just distractions but we must stay focused on the ORIGINAL plan for our lives. Lam 3:22-24 Because of the Lords great love we are not consumed, fot his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfullness. I say to myself, " the Lord is my portion; therefore i will wait on him. God is always faithfull, trust and delight in the Lord; wait PATIENTLY for him. no matter what your situation might be it all boils down to this: God created us in the image of him (maybe god was lonely and wanted companionship) and we failed him by not listening to his advice and so we went our own ways and found death in that path so he created a way for us so that we could still live eternally with him in paradise and that was thru the blood sacrifice of his only begotten son Jesus Christ that thru him we may be saved. I dont take any of this lightly it is my life my reward my love.. no one can come to understand this until the day they meet their Jesus in his timing... Know that you all are special in His eyes he created you from scratch and knows every hair folicle on your head and every bump on your skin he knows.. so learn to lean and trust fully on him who knows us better then our own selves.. know that i lvoe you too and iam here for you .. love carrie

In the Midst of the Storm
Well in the midst of a storm, where is your focus and attention really? Are you staring into the eye of the storm and feeling stiff from fear of the unknown? I have read the scriptures where the fishermen and Jesus were in the boat and Jesus was asleep while the storm was raging, whoa now i tell you if i was on that boat ane it was a rocking and rolling like it describes i would be all over that place bracing myself for the big shabang.. lol and so were those men they were in an all out panic and not knowing what to do they ran to Jesus's side to have him tell them what to do.. Think about it.. first of all Jesus was not a mere man and the men knew it and believed it they full on knew to turn to in their time of need and so should we. So many things happen to us in our daily struggles and we have a tendency to stare right at the eye of the problem just like the men did on the ship before they ran to Jesus.. I sat and wondered ok so if we are to be like jesus then how can we be like him in our own storms, when satan came to job and casted all those things upon him nothing he did to job made job take his eyes off of God and what God did in his life, so satan came at him with more and more but still nothing satan did to job made him reject GOd even his own wife told him to curse God and die, but no he didnt he held on to his creator and kept his focus and attention upon the Lord in the midst of his storm and what happened to him in the outcome, God blessed him and rewared him 100 times more. So in the midst of our own storms lets try to keep our focus off of the eye of the storm itself but instead lets focus on what God tells us we are in him.. and lets believe God for all his promises..
The word says that He will not give us more then we can handle so in all we go thru here in this life lets not loose focus on that promise that we will never have to endure more then we physically can handle.. so that gives us some reassurance to know that what ever our storm is today that we can do all things thru Christ who strengthens us.. I have a dear friend of mine and haveing to see her go thru the illness she is going thru i have had to tell her time and time again that she needs to take the focus off of what is ailing her and instead get her focus back on what God has called her to do. Another dear friend of mine is going thru some discouraging times as well and in the midst of what she is believing god for satan is coming at her with the opposite to discourage her from believing in God. So i will continue to encourage her to believe himi for what he is going to do in her life and not what she hears or sees for we live by faith and not by sight.. know that i love each and everyone of you that comes across this diary and may it bless you and help you .. love carrie

meeting someone new
What do you do when God places someone in your life for a reason but you dont know what that reason is yet? I sit and ponder lots of things and today this is what is on my heart . I have met many friends on this computer and i have come quite attached to a bunch and my family has grown due to finding new sissys and loved ones. But what about those that have been in your life for years and yet you still cant seem to break thru to them.??? You spend time and time again trying to show them the path that Jesus would want them to walk and they seem to agree but then you walk away for just a second and they fall down again and its over and over again.. it hurts soooo badly to have to watch that one special person fall the way they are and you want to just pick them up and carry them thru it so you make sure that they do get thru it. But i believe that there comes a time that we have to let them fall and let God work thru them and we have to step backand love them from a distance. There are a lot of us on the internet that do a lot of reaching out to the lost on here and day after day we tend to see so many get closer to God but what about those ones that god brought into our lives that we dont think are teachable? Did we just give up trying with them> did we just brush them off What do we do to get back on track with loving them when all is said and done? Do we reach out to them again, do we take them in again, i know we are to pray for them but what can we do physically to help them. I have a friend that i have known for almost 8 yrs and we have taken her and her baby in our home 4 times and each and every time they have turned away from the Lord and went their own seperate ways but yet when the times get really hard for them because of their choices they always seem to find a way to get a hold of me and i want to so badly take them in again and beleive God one more time that he will set their heart afire for him but i dont know if iam just stepping in where Godis trying to teach them something or am i to still grab hold of them and bring them in time after time. I want so badly for them to get to konw the Jesus i have come to love and trust and yet everytime i have tried they always go their own way.. I pray for his guidence everytime and every time it turns out really bad when i take them in. So what do i do, do i just offer a listening ear or do i try again to take them in ? well that is my heart today.. i must lean on Him in this situation.. know that God is still in control and i love him with all my heart and soul.. We all need a pick me up from time to time
You know there is not a one person that never needs a pick me up. I have tried time and time again to not have a NEED for anyone to be there for me.. i am usually the one that is the counselor and i try to hide everything i may be dealing with but there are times more often then not that i need someone to go to and i just fall into peices and feel like a child.. If we areent willing to oopen up to those that are believers with us and share in our trials as well then no one will gain anything from our testimonies.. they are jsut for that.. we are living testimonies for others to learn and see from and when we hide what we are going thru or what we have come thru then it will not be a blessing for no one else.. I challenge you to open upa little to someone you trust and know will not gossip but one who will pray with you for what your believing God for. Just watch how GOd will bless and bring about growth. in that friendship as well as in your situation.. know that your never alone and someone is always going thru what you have gone thru or what you are now going t hru and it makes life a little easier knowing that your not the only one going thru it.. if you ever need prayer or just need a friend iam here for you.. love you all and GOd bless you love carrie

What does it mean to really love?
As a mother cries for her child as the child falls down and gets hurt all she can think of or talk about or worry about is " whats hurt and how can i fix it". That adreneline that fills the body of a woman when it comes to her saving her own child that is where true love comes from. When Jesus died on that cross that was true love and from that love he had for us all he endured more then any mere man could ever handle or think of handleing. His love for us is sooo strong that we can feel his embrace everytime we are hurt we feel his arms stretching around us in comfort as we cry out for help. When satan comes at you and starts putting those thoughts in your head about how your not worthy , or you are a failure, or even that you dont deserve to live why live when it would be easier to just die, that is right when you need to cry out to your father who loves you and who did EVERYTHING for you so that you may live. Dont believe the lies from the devil be strong and courageous and know who you are in the Lord and you will realize that nothing the devil throws your way will falter you at all.. Know that you are very loved and prayed for and cared for.. well i pray you all have a blessed day today and know that iam praying for you ... love carrie

Having a best friend that has bipolar
well here it goes..... My best friend was just diagnosed with bipolar about 3 weeks ago. Now i do beleive that Jesus can and will heal her but i also dont get all caught up in the name giving.. I hate to see people give in to attacks from satan just because the drs want to say its this or that and give it a name other then its rightfull name which is an attack by satan himself. The bible says that a doubleminded person is unstable. Well i know that our battles are all in our minds and so that is the very first part of us that satan attacks us and if we allow the fear and anxiety to kick in he wins.. But my best friend has come from such an abused past and now because of all the abuse has these mood swings and depression that the drs are saying is bipolar. I dont agree that its bipolar i beleive that its depression and low self esteem so i stand by her side and encourage her thru the hard times so that she may get thru them. I met her online about 2 yrs ago and after a year she moved from west virginia to texas to stay with us and start over and in this time she has gotten remarried and her husband is over in iraq fighting in this war.. I know its hard for her to be away from her husband because i went thru that when i first got married and my husband was taken two days after we got married and was gone the first 9 months of our marriage and yes it is very hard . But with God all things are possible and i knwo that God has brought her in my life for a reason and iam going to stand by her side no matter what.. Iam not going to lie and say its easy to be her friend with this depression and me believeing in the healing power of the almighty God, but i will say that its well worth it if it means her receiving salvation thru our friendship and her better knowing Jesus .We have our good days and we have our bad days.. but the good days make up for all the bad days we have. I encourage you if you know someone who has been diagnosed with bi polar or some kind of depression to love them and reach out to them nd commmit to them to be by their side it helps them thru it.. When things seem hard today, Trust and know that there is a tomorrow and tomorrow is always a better day then yesterday because
We always seem to stress over things that have happened or are going on in our lives but if take the time to search through the scriptures and come to realize that No Matter What We See In Front Of Us.... or how bad it looks or how are we going to get out of it.. come to realize that God has it already and has already prepared the way and is just waiting for us to trust him and go thru the door he has prepared for us to walk thru. see we get so caught up in the things that are going on around us that we forget to listen to that small still voice inside of each and everyone of us and do what the One who created us wants us to do.. if we would do this then we wouldnt have all these daily issues and problems that our society has.. If adam and eve had obeyed the voice from the one who created them then the world wouldnt have been cursed to death for disobeying. so now knowing that there is a brighter tomorrow depending on who your trust is in,, then stop worrying about whats going on around you and knwo that if we just pray thru the anxious feelings and trust God to lead us out of it then we can look forward to that brighter day that is coming.. we cant stop the hands of time but we sure can hold on to the hope of the brighter tomorrow . Do the birds in the air worry about where there next food will come from or where they will get their next peice of clothing from no, they trust and knwo that their creator created them and knowing their very need he would supply that as well so that his creation would survive so know that since God has created us he will also provide our needs to survive.. that is so nourishing to my soul to receive that.. not to have to really stress or worry over those things of the world but know that in my heart of hearts if iam following the Lord and doing what he tells me to i can put my full trust in him to see me thru anything that comes my way.. woo hoo iam telling you this is powerfull stuff .. i thought about this tonight and was like " wow" think about it and pray on it and watch what God will show to you .. There is nothing in this life that i will fear.. i will be bold in who iam in Christ and bold in who i believe in.. amen.. love you all and may the peace of God be all over you from this day forward and may you all start to dig deeper and ask God thru the power of the holy spirit to reveal the hidden truths of His word so that it speaks life into your spirit.. amen and amen love carrie
