    Worthy Is The Lamb

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they sang: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”                    Revelation 5: 11-12

This is one of the first pieces that I experimented with puff paint to make the dots (representation of the song coming from the mouths).

It will be nice in heaven to not think about careers and maintaining the “stuff” of life here in this world. All attention will be on the one and true savior – Jesus Christ.

    Outcome of Art Shows

My husband and I just held a studio art show this past Saturday (Nov. 22). We decided to just focus on those who had signed our guest book over the years since we have been in the art business. We didn't have many people to show up but we did make some sales and it gave us a boost in our spirit for getting back out in the public eye. This coming Saturday, we will be showcasing our art at the 18th Annual BZB Holiday Gift & Art Show in the District of Columbia (DC).

One thing about exhibiting at art shows is the wonderful comments people make about seeing the word of God in the artwork. It is refreshing, sometimes surprising and just absolutely wonderful.

    Praise the Lord.

    Wonderfully Made

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.

                                                                                                                                                                                           Psalms 139:13-18

These verses give me such a warm feeling inside. I not only feel like I belong to my earthly parents but I belong to my heavenly Father. I hope you enjoy the design I created around these verses.

And I hope you all have a blessed day.

    His Wounds

Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5

After you are saved, there are certain verses in the Bible that can bring tears to your eyes and empathy for what Jesus went through so that we could have the chance to spend eternity with Him. His death on the cross made it possible to be given grace & mercy over our repented sins instead of trying to follow God’s perfect laws which we fall short of. Isaiah 53:4-5 in the piece above is one such set of verses and Psalms 22 is another.

I wanted to illustrate how His skin must have looked after being whipped. Each strike He took for me, He took for you, He took for all mankind. “Thank you” is not even enough for what He did. I just want to give Him what He wants the most – a relationship.

    Be Blessed

    Because of Me

Image title: Because of Me (Matthew 5:11-12, Hebrews 11:35-38, Revelation 6:9-11)

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you BECAUSE OF ME. (Matthew 5;11) Wow! I am blessed if I am persecuted for believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, He died for my sins and He rose from the dead to show His victory over death – which gives us victory over death when we are saved from our sins. Great news indeed!

Before designing this piece, I asked myself, how did the disciples pass away? Were their deaths horrific? I found out they were horrific. Could I face the deaths that they did? Even while knowing that I will be in heaven for eternity? I can only hope that Jesus would give me the courage. I know Jesus is definitely worth my life because He gave me life.

    Treasures That Count

Love for Jesus, contentment, to be humble, knowing the Lord is the owner of all – we are the caretakers, love other people more than ourselves, integrity and character – most of the things that God finds delight in but not all. These treasures are a struggle to develop but worth the time when I think of the reward – eternity in heaven.

The design around the bible verse (Matthew 6:19-21), is just for visual enjoyment and not done with any hidden meaning. But the main purpose for the piece was about the bible verse. Enjoy.

    Grace be with you all.

    Prophesy & Fact

Prophesy (same as foretell) and Fact (same as truth). That is what I found when I would read some passages in the bible’s Old Testament books. The passages told of things that had not happened at the time it was written and God breathed through persons who would not see the events for themselves. Yet they had faith in what they wrote.

Then I would read passages in the New Testament of the same events that had just came to be and provided support to the Old Testament. Nothing new to God, of course, just that He decided to share what He already knew before time began. The image above is called, Prophesy & Fact 3 (Psalms 41:9 / Matthew 26:20,25) – one piece in a series.

To Him be glory both now and forever.

    What An Art Challenge

The artwork above called, Golden Splendor (Job 37:21-22), is from an art competition I participated in called the Masters Works Art Challenge. Several artists were to create fine art within a 30 day period. Overdue Recognition Art Gallery, in Bowie, Maryland, juried and hosted an art show for the debut of the artwork done. Two awards were given: 1 artist chosen as receiving a discount on framing and 2 artists were awarded a duo gallery art show at a later date. I created the above piece as well as another original called, Make Music (Psalms 149:3-4), which is on my website.

    Tell me what you think!

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

    3 as a set or 1 individual

Image titles: Holy Trinity I(Father), Holy Trinity II (Son), Holy Trinity III (Holy Spirit)

These pieces were created with the idea of them being linked together as one look or to stand alone. The image above is a little misleading because it looks like they are connected but in actuality they stand alone and do not have a black border. The Lord inspired me to create these works with the idea of them being placed in a downward angle on any wall or in a stairwell.

To Him be glory both now and forever.

    Abstract Fine Artist

My name is Yolanda Redd and I am a Christian fine artist. My style is abstract and I mainly use acrylic paint but have also worked with pen & ink, color pencil and pastel. I plan to do more mosaic type pieces in the near future. I like to emphasize bible verses in my work because it is the Lord that I want to get the glory. Hopefully others who see my work will find this to be true. As you can see, I have included one of my images as part of this message. It is called 'Above.' (Psalms 113:1-5) If you would like to see more, feel free to visit website, www.inspirearts.com.

To Him be glory both now and forever.
