    Arthur Mann (Jude: Part One)
Someone has said,That the Book of Jude is the " most neglected Book of the Bible."

Is that true? I believe that it is true. The next question then is,"Why"

One reason could be that much of the Church has been programed to stay away from the teaching and preaching of that which is not considered to be the " Positive Message"

One well known TV Preacher said, " There are some things in the Bible we should not Preach because they are to negative."
No man has the right to edit the Word of God. No man has the right to declare portions of the Word of God as unfit for Human consumption.

Acting as though God didn't know or understand what He was doing when He commanded the Bible to be recorded.

2-Peter 1:20-21 says: Knowing this first, that no Prophecy of the Scriptures is of any private interpretation. For the Prophecy came not in old time by the will of man, but Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

The Bible did not originate out of any private (human mind)interpretation.

Holy men of God were being born along by the Holy Spirit. God,The Holy Ghost watched over those men with great ferver to see that what He wanted written was indeed written,Nothing more,Nothing less.

So,No man has the right to alter the Word of God to any degree at all.

One preacher said, he is tired of people who hang their hat on Doctrine. But 2-Timothy 3:16 says,All Scripture is given by inspiration of God,and is " profitable" for "Doctrine"

In reading from the Book of Jude,It is easily seen that Jude wants the Church to know that they are Loved of God.

In verse 1 Jude declares," to them who are Sanctified by God the Father"

In this case the word "Sanctified" means " Loved" So Jude is telling the Church that they are Loved of God the Father.

God Loves the Church. Ephesians Chapter five says," Even as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for it."

We must believe in and trust Gods Love for His Church. And at the same time, We must know and understand that the Bible is the Word of God.

The Bible is not just a book that contains the Word of God,It " is " the Word of God.

The Bible gives us the truth concerning Salvation. Don't think that you can believe a lie concerning Salvation and still be saved.

Don't think that you can believe false Doctrine, and follow false teachers and still be alright.

Jude was very alarmed at the number of false teachers being accepted in the Church.

          Jude verses 3-4

Beloved,When I gave all dilligence to write unto you of the common Salvation,It was needful for me to write unto you,and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the Faith which was once delivered unto the Saints,
For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation,Ungodly men, turning the grace of God into lascivousness and denying the only Lord God,and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Serious Apostasy was taking place in Jude's day. By command of the Holy Spirit,Jude set out to warn the "End Time " Church(us) of falling away from the Truth of God's Word.

Vernon McGee said," You and I are presently living in the Apostasy, How much farther we will go into it before the Rapture I do not know,But we are definitely in the times of Apostasy.

Judes message is from God to His Church. As Jude was preparing to write of the " common Salvation " of every believer,There came a compulsion upon Jude to write a different kind of letter.
There was laid upon Jude by the Holy Spirit the necessity to warn the Church of Apostasy and Apostates.

The Holy Spirit laid upon Jude an " urgency" in warning the Church.

The Apostasy of the last days prior to the coming of Christ will be both " Doctrinal " and " Moral"

It is Doctrinal as it relates to the straying away from the Word of God. Jude says it is "The Faith"

It is Moral as it relates to the life style of those who claim to be Christian.

These double Apostasies will continue untill the judgement by the appearing of Christ.

          ( This is very important)
Jude describes the characteristics of these Apostates so that we will be able to recognize them.
Rember,The Apostasy will be both Doctrinal and Moral.

Jude said," it was needful for me to write unto you, and to exhort you that you earnestly contend for " The Faith" once delivered to the Saints.

The Apostle Paul said in 1-Timothy 4:1," Now the Spirit Speaketh expressly, That in the Latter times some shall depart from " The Faith " giving heed to seducing spirits and " Doctrines of devils"(demons)

Paul said, The Holy Spirit said that some shall depart from " The Faith"

While there are many denominations,There is but " One Faith"

The Apostasy spoken of by Jude is a " Departure from the Faith"

Jude says it is the Faith " once delivered" unto the Saints. In other words,It was delivered " once and for all "

In 2-Corinthians 11, The Apostle speaking to the Church at Corinth in effect said, " I am worried about you,For if someone comes Preaching another Jesus whom we have not Preached, Or you receive another spirit which we have nor received,Or another Gospel which we have not accepted," you might just accept it."

There are countless numbers of Christians who are doing exactly what the Apostle Paul warned the Corinthian Church against.

I hope this message is a blessing to you. Part two will be coming soon. Art
