Deeper Faith Journey
This is a new venture for me as I've never blogged before and may make some obviously clumsy mistakes. So, I'm going to put my excuse right out in front----I'm 62 years old and I am still celebrating the fact I mastered the word processor back in the early 8o's!
I have labeled my blog " Deeper Faith Journey" as this is what I have been on since October 25th when I was told I had lung cancer! Distressing news is not new to me and that day was no different; it distressed me. I am not interested in pointing out and discussing my woes in all of this, yet what I desperately want is to present God's victories and His Glory being revealed through my journey. The first 10-12 hours were me mentally running in circles and concentrating on ME. Big Mistake if have any hope of any future calmness! After those first hours I started reflecting back to the mid 90's when I was told I had kidney failure......I heard in my spiritual ear, "Carol, I need to be bigger than the lupus and kidney failure" (oh yeah, got the lupus diagnosis at the same time). Back to October, "Lord you are bigger than any cancer!" and then my mouth was filled with His Word which I started to verbally proclaim "if God is for me who can be against me?" "He must increase, but I [must] decrease." "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." and then my favorite go-to action verse...."Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need". And so I did and He gave me such peace, that peace which passes all understanding. The same peace I've been walking in since October 25. So much He has shown me about me, so much mercy He's poured over me, so much strength He's given me and most of all, He's teaching me every day and my desire is He is being glorified!
Parting thought for today........NOTHING can separate you from His love!
