I KNOW MY SHEPHERD IS PRESENT
Sometimes the fresh breeze turns to a storm and you start to wonder what has suddenly befallen your peace and cheering testimonies. Within some few days of starting this blog, the enemy was seemingly aroused to give a scare, which accounted for the short break. I was soon confronted with a loss-bearing chart in my business, creditors' threat and troubled mind. This reminds me of the story of Disciples of Jesus Christ in the storm in Mark 4:35-41 35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.' 36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. 37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still.' And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that you have no faith?' 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? Whatever the devil could make of my bodily feelings, I KNOW MY SHEPHERD WHO IS ABLE TO CALM ALL STORMS OF LIFE IS PRESENT WITH ME. I dearly need the prayers of the Brethren

HE WAS COMMISSIONED OUR SHEPHERD OUT OF COMPASSION
But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.-Matthew 9: 36 Before His intervention the people (sheep) were sickly, faint-hearted, hungry and thirsty, and there was none who cared. The Lame among them was only carried, whom they laid daily at the gate to ask alms. Acts 3:2. No one healed their lameness. The lepers live without hope and were simply banished to the outside of the camp, so that they may not infect the people with leprosy. No one is much concerned about their welfare outside the camp. The blind are simply led to sit on highway begging - Mark 10:47 and are unregarded, often reprimanded not to get noticed by important persons passing by. The sick are without further help than the sick bed made for them - John 5:7. Deserted by friends and relatives. The demon possessed are often bound with chains, (in pains), in addition to their troubled mind. - Luke 8:29 The debtors are often cast into the prisons till they could pay the debt - Matthew 18:30 or sold into slavery to pay up. The bereaved are only assisted to mourn their dead, adding to the funeral convoy and simply complimenting his/her weeping. Indeed the blind, lame and others with whatever blemish in the tribe of Aaron, cannot operate in the office of Priesthood bestowed on them by inheritance. They can not possess their possessions - Leviticus 21:18-23. He read out His Appointment Letter to the people that they may be sure and trust in Him as their Shepherd: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath annointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.- Luke 4:18-19. HE IS A LOVING SHEPHERD!!!

MY SHEPHERD IS THE KING OF LOVE
My Pastor, Prof. Z. A. Adeyewa taught me a blessed song whose Author I do not remember. It tells me much about the Loving Shepherd. (I hereby seek the permision of the Author to allow me copy it here. ) 1. The King of love my Shepherd is, Whose goodness faileth never; I nothing lack if I am His And He is my for ever 2. Where streams of living water flow My ransomed soul He leadeth, And where the verdant pastures grow, With food celestial feedeth.3. Perverse and foolish oft I strayed; But yet in love He sought me, And on His shoulder gently laid, And home rejoicing brought me.4. In death's dark vale I fear no ill With Thee, dear Lord, beside me; Thy rod and staff my comfort still, Thy cross before to guide me.5. Thou spread'st a table in my sight; Thy unction grace bestoweth; And O what transport of delight, From Thy pure chalice floweth! 6. And so through all the length of days Thy goodness faileth never; Good Shepherd, may I sing thy praise Within Thy house for ever!

A LOVING SHEPHERD INDEED
Our LORD JESUS Christ came looking for us His lost Sheep. He knew how we had despised His counsel and preferred the noise (philosophy) of the crowded world; His unfailing hands of help and preferred the feeble arms of the flesh; His promised everlasting place of abode and preferred to be preoccupied with the earthly castle which beauty and glory soon fade away. Inspite of our past failures, He came searching with His LOVE as the probing light. The accusation of our enemy could not withstand His Loving Voice calling us gently to His fold. Hallelluyah!! We have a loving Shepherd. JOHN 10: 11
