A peek into the path God placed me on

    Classes Begin

Wow another week goes by and now classes start.  Sometimes I wonder why I am going to college.  I realized this last week how much I take for granted being able to go to school.  I was like most people in my graduating class and just assumed that college was the only option.  As my debt piles up, sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if I had gotten a job right out of high school.  I know that I am where God wants me, but sometimes I feel trapped.  I was reminded of John 10:10 just now-I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly.  I remembered someone saying that abundant life had nothing to do with being abundantly happy but had to do with experiencing life in all of it's facets; the good and the bad, the things that give life purpose even if we sometimes gripe about them.

This is short but its time for me to get ready for work.  Later

    Well I'm back finally

I just spent the last few days moving into college.  The craziness has subsided for now and I just sit around for a few days until I have training for work and classes start next Tuesday.

Of course sitting around leaves me with alot of time to think.  And I am prone to overanalyze the situation(s) I am in.  Right now I'm not sure what way to minister to my non-believing friends and aquaintances on campus.  I now have room to have people over and I love to cook and I know most college students won't refuse a free meal.  I'm also involved with The Navigators Christian Fellowship on campus and we will be planning things this weekend but I wish that meeting was already here.  This past summer I worked at a Christian camp as an assistant head cook/tower assistant.  I knew what I had to do to serve people.  Now I don't have such clear definitions and I'm just praying over the advice I was given by a friend to love people.   How I love someone is going to be different for each person.  I am going to need God's grace and love to pour through me.  (I'm admitting my need for and dependence on God for help just now and I know God is chuckling and saying, "what took you so long."

Finally in response to the comments left from my previous message:  I read a lot of fiction.  Frank Peretti, Shaunti Feldhahn, and Dee Henderson are my favorites.  I love books with action and mystery and suspense.  I'm not a big fan of historical fiction but I have read a couple of books that I really liked.

    Well...well...well..

So you want to know about me and what is going on in my head.  That is scary because I often don't know what is going on within the confines of my skull.  So first I should let you know a little about me.  First and foremost, I am a follower and disciple of Jesus Christ.  I am far from perfect and if I ever claim to be, slap me.  I am a college student trying to study, work, hang out with people and walk with the Lord.  I read alot so if anyone has books they would recommend, let me know, I would appreciate it, since I will probably write about books I have read or am reading.  I have many hobbies that I enjoy,  I like running, playing sports, photography, crafting, and playing guitar.

That is about it for my introduction. Until I spill again: farewell
